That works too. I just like the possibility of returning parents. Vincent Price or an aged Christopher Lee as Alexis' father. Though they'd never have done Dynasty, but in my head...
Least of all Fallon herself. So funny.
But I think all the Morell and Scott sisters and cousins were very estranged at that time (they are fabulous bitches after all). The only one who actually wanted to know something about someone was Caress, and not for sisterly reasons.
It's so sad that The Colbys dislikers are totally missing the irony of it all. Watching the notoir Dynasty spin-off, it feels like a lot of "what if's". What if X had done that, what if Y hadn't said that, what if Z hadn't called that unwanted person etc etc.
But could someone here explain this to me: why should they weather the situation, why shouldn't there be a divorce, why shouldn't Frankie ruin everything, why shouldn't there be any significant consquences?
Because *hops over to the parent show forum* I also read complaints about Dynasty's stagnation, how "Daniel and Ashley were never a serious threat to the holy Carrington marriage".
On THE COLBYS they said: O.F.U! We will have our big divorce.
And it's not like Sable was completely removed from the core of the Colby household. Besides, it's a soap opera. It's very unlikely that Jason and Frankie would have lived happily ever after in season 3, completely devoid of any soapy shenanigans. Assuming that Frankie would still be alive.
In 9 seasons of The Colbys I could even see Jason and Sable remarry. It's not like soaps hadn't done it before.
He was accidentally killed by Philip Colby, and Constance had covered it up. Agatha Scott arrives in ColbyLand because her daughters are making a mess of everything. She's very upset, to say the least
According to the bible of the first season of "The Colbys", The Scotts are from... San Francisco !! Of course, when english Stephanie Beacham was cast, it was changed into the fact that Sable and Frankie's parents got divorced and Sable went with her mother (in England we can guess...) while Frankie went with her father (of course ! She already needed a man around when she was a child). But eventually their parents remarried so Sable and her mother returned to San Francisco.
So Jason and Philip did not go to England for english brides, they found them in California.
We can also figure that only Mrs. Scott was english (while Mr. Scott was american) but it was never adressed in the show or in any document that I found.

Oh wait, I knew this game when we played it in grade school. You just say the opposite of someone else says. Here, my turn: why shouldn't they weather the situation, why should there be a divorce, why should Frankie ruin everything, why should there be any significant consequences?
Why is he not English? Didn't he move from England to America (together with Francesca)? Which, btw, is also one of the reasons why Sable hated her sister.
I guess they both preferred to be with papa Scott.

I imagine after the divorce Agatha had to take up residence with Minx (who was a widow), which explains why Sybill is so close to her darling cousins Alexis and Cassie.
Well, Agatha would disguise it as "visiting" her "dear" sister after Minx became a widow due to a tragic FREAK accident... and yes, of course Agatha would stay to support her poor sister in her deepest hour of need and not because HER husband dumped her for some young whore?
When I think of the bitchy Alexis, the stoic and proud Sable and the notorious trouble maker Caress all living under the same roof, my brains goes in some kind of fabulosity overload.

Oh, yes. I've always had visions of the three of them walking into the Sierra Room in late-Season 6 and Krystle, at a table with Blake, making a MacBethian three witches reference (she reads more than we think).
And since everything had to be related, I'll appoint Sam Dexter as the other closeted married man.
He visisted England with his father, hoping to buy a famous British stallion, and then he and Seymour Scott ended up in the hayloft. I guess Frankie takes after her father's side of the family.
Agatha agreed to put up with his perversion as long as he was discreet, but he followed his heart (and Sam) anyway. But when he arrived in America, Sam pretended not to know him - gays can be so cruel.
He found a good man in San Francisco, Lucas Carter's uncle Dorian, also the CEO of the best advertising agency on the West Coast*, who just happened to be a business acquaintance of Andrew Colby.
The rest is history.

I hate Dex Dexter and this is why I hate you. Stop putting Dex into any fantasies. He's lame.
Besides, Dynasty wasn't ever about the men, was it? Seymour Scott could've been a mailbox, but that doesn't change the fact that Minx would mock Agatha for Seymour being a mailbox.
