Perhaps Joseph would be snobbish enough to give his daughter a European name, but not classy enough to pick the right one. The result would be a kitsch name like Sisi (aka Empress Elisabeth of Austria). Sisi (or Sissi) is a good name for Dynasty. I agree with UnPrincipaled, an average name like "Michael" is not the best choice for a prince. Everyone could be a "Michael", not everyone could be a prince. At the very least they could have called him "Mikael" (pronounced as Mi-ka-el). Or any other name from the BelAmi catalogue. I used to feel the same about De Vilbis - I wanted him to be Otto, Maximilian or Christian - but De Vilbis is already such a fabulous name that I don't think it needs more emphasis. It works very well with a name like Peter or Paul. Or it should be *completely* over the top: Lucifer or Vladimir. I've always struggled with Ellen Carrington because there were already two Ellens on Dallas. If it had to be simple, then rather Emma, Gayle or Rose. And of course there's my precious imaginary Dynasty spin-off character, the most evil and dangerous vixen in the world: (Ta!, RC:D)
