Scotland humiliated by Kazakhstan in Euro 2020 qualifying opener
Scotland began their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign in disastrous fashion after losing 3-0 at Kazakhstan on Thursday.
Alex McLeish’s men were 2-0 down after just 10 minutes following goals from Yuri Pertsukh and Yan Vorogovskiy, with Baktiyor Zaynutdinov adding the hosts’ third after the break.
And what was a humbling and humiliating affair for Scotland proved to be a monumental one for Kazakhstan, who won just their fifth competitive match since 2009.
