The recent StudioCanal ident is wonderful to watch in a darkened room and must be watched in full-screen to fully appreciate:



The way the pattern "escapes" from the widescreen is mesmerising. It's slightly ironic it's so colourful since I usually see it attached to the beginning of old black and white films on home media, but somehow it fits because it feels so cosy and charming.

While looking for it to post here I also stumbled upon this "making of":








I love this one, too, but for pure listening joy I can't get enough of John Ottman's 2003 re-do with the X-Men fanfare at the end:


(Note how the "X" in the studio name deliberately takes a little longer to fade into black at the end).






I'm quite fond of the disco dancing version from (the Academy Award-winning) Thank God It's Friday:


I'm nearly sure the disco dancing version is on that compilation video I posted upthread. :)

Bumping this up: why did Paramount have their logos to be both on the top and bottom of their films, unlike other studios that just had theirs at the top of a picture?

I don't know how I've not seen this before but I recently started watching the series From which is made by MGM and their new studio ident is stunning.
