The second establishing shot of Shula, TN in this episode (approx. at 27 minutes into the episode) is from Main Street in Concord, MA 01742. The structure on the right has street numbers 27 - 41. Not sure on which production this shot originated. It's stock footage.

The church in the scene with Mack at the beginning and end of the episode is St. John's Episcopal Cathedral at 514 West Adams Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90007.
Note this is also the church where Paige is praying in # 11.19 and where Paige and Tom's non-wedding takes place and where Gary and Val decide to get married again in the season 11 cliffhanger (exteriors also in # 11.29).

The establishing shot of Pacific World Cable came from the former Metromedia Square — at the time of filming Fox Television Center. The building was located at 5746 Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, California 90028. It was torn down in 2003.

Harold's new apartment: While the interiors are a set on the sound stage, the establishing shots are from the building at 15 Horizon Avenue in Venice, CA. The shots were stock footage from another Lorimar show entitled "Blue Thunder" and simply reused on "Knots Landing". The building is still standing, but slightly updated.

The interior shots of the department store in the scene with Anne were filmed inside the historic Bullocks Wilshire building (3050 Wilshire Boulevard, L.A.). That department store built in 1929 is an Art Déco gem. In the late 1980's, the company suffered from economic problems, and the building was finally taken over by Southwestern Law School in 1994.
In 1985, when it was still the Bullocks Wilshire department store, Lorimar had filmed "Berrenger's" inside the building — posing as the Berrenger family's New York City based department store; the show was created by Diana Gould (who previously worked on "Knots"), and also many other Lorimarians associated with "Knots" also worked on that series, including Bernard Lechowick and Lynn Marie Latham as well as "Falcon Crest" creator Earl Hamner's son Scott.
