it may have looked outdated at the time, but none of those 80s 'dos hold a candle to her look in the early days for my money.

interestingly, I found the perm a bit ridiculous-looking at first but for some reason it's grown on me... well, looking at the photo above, maybe not that much. At least it's not as fuddy-duddy to me as some of the 80s looks she had going were. I thought it was bit odd how she started dressing and behaving like someone well into middle age in that fancy post-Bobby house when she was still (allegedly) in her early-to-mid 30s.

Good for Miss P

Bijou is a former race horse. I have spent years devoted to Bijou's emotional and physical recovery from the abuse she suffered. As many of you know, I do not support horse racing because of the lax rules that are applied to the welfare of the horses and the use of drugs. Today I will not be watching the Kentucky Derby. I will be watching my beautiful Bijou run free of drugs and pain. #DrugFreeKentuckyDerby

I think I have had all of them including the poodle perm and Pam Ewing is to blame for that!!

#Flashback to some of my many hairstyles on Dallas for #HairstyleAppreciationDay. Which one of these is your favorite?

Thanks for the collage. It reminds me that - when I was a kid- watching Dallas with my family was kinda religious. And each time Victoria/Pam had a new hairdo, it was like a mini event in my home lol. Everybody was arguing to decide if the new hair style was better (or not) than the previous one. It really brings back good memories, of my mother especially. She died 8 years ago and I still miss her everyday. She was a Dallas and Dynasty fan, so she's the one who gave me that love for those shows.

my dad thought it rubbish so didnt
My dad liked Dallas so we'd sit there and watch it together. I've lost count the number of times I've read on YouTube how Dallas rekindles memories. Some say when the music started it was time for bedtime. Others recall enjoying the series with parents or grandparents. I'm just thankful I lived in an era when television would bring the family together. It didn't have to be Dallas but during the 70's and 80's television WAS great. Today most households have televisions in different rooms and so the family is fragmented.

Could it be argued Dallas created the water-cooler phenomenon? There was something exciting about discussing Dallas with friends or work mates the following day. We were all part of this international family talking about the Ewing family as if they were our own.

Great times.

From Miss P (what a lovely looking animal)

Bijou, my rescue race horse, walked over to me and leaned her head against my arm with a big sigh of love & gratitude.
Bijou is a formidable survivor and extraordinary example of resilience.
My Red Queen.

Go Girl

A New York Times investigation showed how a pervasive drug culture in horse racing put horses and riders at risk and found that 24 horses a week die at America's racetracks, a rate greater than in countries where drug use is severely restricted.
US Horse racing is not regulated by a single, national entity. Regulations vary by state, and only 8 states have currently revised their drug laws for horse racing.
Horse racing is a billion dollar industry. If you don't bet, they will have to change their rules in order to maintain their income.

Preakness
On May 18, 2019 I posted this;

"Here is my former race horse Hargill doing the “Happy Hargill Dance!” Why is he so happy? Because he is not being forced to run in the Preakness today with a pre-existing condition or injuries masked by drugs."

It was true then and it's true now. If you watch the Preakness today, please don't bet. By not betting the horse racing industry will be forced to re-evaluate their drug and welfare laws for race horses.
