Though unsourced the “limo to the loo” crack is usually attributed to Jane. In the Lana doc “Lana Turner: The Untouchable” The Survivors co-star Diana Muldauer affectionately describes the Turner Diva behaviour. TV isn’t MGM. Having worked in the B’s and produced her own TV series in the 50’s Wyman understood the necessity of shooting quickly. Bill Duke in the same Doc describes Turner shaking so badly the audio picked up her jewelry rattling on Falcon Crest. Behind the scenes staff have corroborated her tardiness and lack of preparation.

She was in the highest rated ever episode of Falcon Crest but this is episodic tv there were 227 episodes. The highest rated seasons were #3 and #4 without Lana.

Nolan Miller said that during the first NIGHT OF A HUNDRED STARS in 1982, they barely got Lana out of her dressing room before there was almost dead air on the live show.

Brutal, paralytic nerves could explain it.

Poor Lana. I hope she didn't brandish anything.
