Now, I realize that actor Jon Voight made a hard turn to the political several years ago, but how does Hollywood's prototypical liberal go so far off in the other direction that he becomes a de facto devil worshipper?

The old saying: "there's nothing worse than a convert" ??

Jon Voight Argues Trump Is "Greatest President Since Abraham Lincoln" in Twitter Videos

Conservative actor and Trump presidential appointee Jon Voight is arguing in two Twitter videos that the former real-estate mogul is the "greatest president since Abraham Lincoln."

In the videos, posted late Friday and addressed to Republicans, the Ray Donovan star argued that Trump has taken up a "moral code of duty" passed on from Lincoln, and that Trump has made "his every move correct." Following a week that saw Trump walk out of an infrastructure meeting with House majority leader Nancy Pelosi after three minutes, and retweet a doctored video of Pelosi after, reigniting calls for impeachment, the actor argued that he had made the country "safer, stronger" and added more jobs.

"People of the Republican party, I know you will agree with me when I say our president has our utmost respect and our love," the first video began. "This job is not easy, for he's battling the left and their absurd words of destruction. I've said this once and I'll say this again: that our nation has been built on the solid ground from our forefathers, and there is a moral code of duty that has been passed on from President Lincoln."

Voight added, "I'm here today to tell you the truth, and I'm here to tell you, my fellow Americans, our country is stronger, safer and with more jobs because our president has made his every move correct. Don't be fooled by the polticial left, because we are the people of this nation that is witnessing triumph. So let us stand with our president, let us stand up for this truth: President Trump is the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln. God bless America. And may god continue to guide this nation. Much love."

An outspoken conservative in Hollywood, Voight has posted video messages to his Twitter followers defending Trump before, including one where he praised Fox News host Laura Ingraham "for all the work that she does" in April. The former liberal frequently criticized former President Barack Obama and frequently appeared at events hosted by Friends of Abe, the now-disbanded, private conservative group comprised of members that worked in the entertainment industry.

In March, Trump announced that he was appointing Voight to the Board of Trustees at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Voight's politics have also previously informed his choice of roles: Voight appeared in the 2019 film Roe v. Wade, which was unveiled at this year's March for Life, where he played U.S. Supreme Court Justice Warren Burger.

From a few months ago, on Kyle's Secular Talk...

Everybody has a little weakness in them, one way or the other. But there are certain types I just can't stomach. (Voight cries too damn much, for one thing, away from the big screen). I always felt a certain kinship with Voight in the past, which probably makes me harsher and more judgmental about the pathetic tool he has become.

I don't think it's uncommon for people to become more conservative as they get older, especially if they've become a wealthy elitist. I think it makes many of them selfish, so they gravitate towards the right. Voight talks about the creation of jobs, but neglects to mention how stagnant wages and the tax cuts for the wealthy hurt the working class. But then he doesn't have to work three jobs, so why would he care? And as for "making the country safer," all Trump has done is continued our decades-long legacy of imperialism. Killing civilians and soldiers needlessly so that we can steal the resources from their countries has nothing to do with our safety. It's amazing how many suckers have fallen for this blatant propaganda.

I personally think the last president who did the most good in office was FDR, and even he put the Japanese in internment camps. A president who only did good just doesn't exist.

It's just the complete 180 that Voight's taken over the last couple of decades after having once been Hollywood's uber-liberal dude... I mean, I don't have a hard time watching conservatives' or molesters' movies (TRUE GRIT and CHINATOWN are just fine with me) but I haven't been able to watch MIDNIGHT COWBOY or COMING HOME for several years because of Voight's seismic shift into committed stupidity... But, as I said, I've always felt I had a certain personal understanding of Voight's psychology in the past, so his newfound role of satanic minion is a little tough for me.

I should forgive for purposes of my own mental health, I realize.

The Sex Strike Lady yesterday called Voight an "old F-list loser" and that “nobody cares what an out of touch actor thinks!”, but she started the hashtag part of #MeToo anyway, and claimed she will always let her infant daughter pick out the new book at their bookstore because "women and girls have an instinct about these things that boys and men do not" despite having a school aged son who actually reads.

Two showbiz morons from opposite sides of the street.

I have never really cared what celebrities claim they believe politically or on any social issues. I usually only care about those close to me. I mean, Joan Collins is more or less a complete idiot when it comes to politics, but I like her nonetheless. But how does one become more conservative and get closer to Trump? I think there are a lot of conservative thinkers (for example, George Will) who have demonstrated that Trumpism is not an ideology in the political spectrum but an attitude of utter narcissism and crude opportunism. It could have landed in either party, but the conditions were more fertile in the republicans after the tea party mess. Maybe these qualities attracted Voight.

I like to think Voight just has an undetected brain tumor -- like Mary Tyler Moore -- which explains their shift to the right.

Oh, there are many narcissists and opportunists in the Democratic Party too. Trump's 2016 rival was one for sure. Trump was just smart enough to sprinkle enough economic populism/anti-corruption rhetoric in his campaign. It was obviously a bunch of bull, and the only people who continue to support him are fellow narcissists, faux tough guys, and of course the rich. Also, if you look at rich celebrities who consider themselves Democrats, the majority of them lean towards the so-called moderates because they're more conservative.

Many rich people often end up in an insulated bubble. Some of them say they care about the poor, but quite often they're just looking out for themselves.

I can see how it makes it harder to stomach when someone's views shift from liberal to far-right. Although I'm a vocal critic of what the left has become today, I don't see how becoming a far right authoritarian is the answer. What we really need is a return of the real left that champions diplomacy, income equality, the environment, and social democracy. In Voight's case, I don't know what happened to cause his views to shift so drastically. I just know a lot of older people often become more conservative, particularly if they have acquired wealth.

What makes that all the more funny is that Milano doesn't see herself as an out of touch actor. As if using sex as a bargaining chip and teaching your son that inequality is okay when it's directed at men aren't out of touch ideas as well. The left has been hijacked by these goons. When the right attacks the left, it's the Milano caricature they portray us as.

He's going to be reelected anyway -- via the electoral college if not the popular vote, like in 2016.

Biden's unelectable, the DNC and the media are already trying to sideline Bernie, and gerrymandering is so insane that Democrats have to win 2 out of 3 votes to actually win elections.

So, cheers once again to the Idiot in Chief...

An MSNBC host said that the less informed you are, the more likely you are to support Bernie Sanders. Which proves they're every bit the gaslighting propaganda network as Fox News.

"Democrats would rather go down with the Titanic so long as they have first-class seats." - Bernie Sanders

Milano went on MSNBC and said "this primary is not about policy, it's about beating Trump." She and George Takei have also pledged on Twitter not to criticize any of the Democratic candidates, and are calling on the public to refrain from doing so as well. This mindset is why Trump won in 2016, and it's why he'll most likely win in 2020. Only an out of touch elitist thinks policies don't matter. Replacing Trump with Biden would just give us a a kinder Trump. Policy wise, we'd still be governed by a pro war, anti social democracy authoritarian.

Voight's view of Trump as a champion of the working class who keeps us safe is completely asinine, but it's the faux resistance that put Trump in power and will likely keep him there.

Jon Voight says racism was 'solved long ago,' defends President Trump

In a video supporting President Trump, actor Jon Voight says racism in America was "solved long ago."

The 80-year-old Academy Award winner and father to actress Angelina Jolie shared a politically charged video on Twitter Sunday in which he argued that Trump isn't racist.

"We must understand that this is a nation of liberty, and this president is honoring all. He is not a racist, but a man who loves his country and has every intention to make this land great again,” the actor said in the video titled, "Jon Voight’s message for America." "Let us vote for this country’s safety. And may all the angered left find truth, what truth stands for."

The "Ray Donovan" star added that racism has "been solved long ago by our forefathers" and that the "angered left-wingers preach love but only pollute."

"It seems that the angered left and angered minorities want to hold President Trump accountable for past lives. You see, we have been gifted with truth and, as I see it, anger is among the old chains that were binding to the people of slavery, old wounds that still seem fresh," Voight said.

The actor's statement comes on the heels of a mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, where some suggest that Trump's divisive rhetoric played a role in the attack. Another mass shooting in Dayton, Ohio, took place 13 hours later.

Some users slammed Voight's message.

"Wow, Jon spot on. I'll tell my African American neighbor to get over it after another Chevy Tahoe driver calls him a racial slur," one Twitter user sarcastically commented, while another added: "Who let Jon out of his room and gave him a cell phone to record."

The actor's supporters praised him. "God bless you for speaking the truth and not what the Hollywood propaganda is telling people," a Twitter user said. Another tweeted: "Thank you for standing up for truth."

Voight has been a staunch supporter of Trump dating back to at least 2016. He's released several videos on Twitter applauding the president, including a May tweet in which he called Trump "the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln."

Voight currently sits on the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts' board of trustees after being appointed by Trump in March 2019.

Voight, one of Trump's most vocal Hollywood supporters, will be honored at a White House ceremony on Thursday for his "exceptional capacity as an actor to portray deeply complex characters," the White House said in a statement.

"Captivating audiences, he has given us insights into the richness of the human mind and heart," the statement said.

Voight, who won the Academy Award for best actor in 1978 for his role in "Coming Home," has called Trump the "greatest president since Abraham Lincoln."

"Our country is stronger, safer and with more jobs because our president has made his every move correct," Voight said of Trump's presidency in May. "Don't be fooled by the political left because we are the people of this nation that is witnessing triumph."

Among those who will also be recognized on Thursday are bluegrass-country singer Allison Krauss and author James Patterson, who will receive a National Humanities Medal. Patterson is the Edgar Award-winning author of numerous book series including the Alex Cross novels, as well as a 2016 investigative book about multimillionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Jon Voight says Trump 'must win' the election in order to save America from 'evil' Joe Biden and 'deceitful' leftists

  • Jon Voight, 81, called Joe Biden 'evil' in his latest video supporting Donald Trump
  • The actor told his viewers that the president must win the November 3 election
  • 'These leftists are not for the American people,' he said in the two-minute clip
  • Voight called Trump 'a man of integrity' who is 'fighting for this country's welfare'
By VALERIE EDWARDS FOR DAILYMAIL.COM

Jon Voight said in a video message on Friday that America must reelect President Donald Trump in order to save the nation from 'evil' Joe Biden.

The actor shared the two-minute clip on Twitter Friday with the caption: 'Evil.'

In the video, Voight immediately slams the Democratic presidential nominee and the liberal left.

'Biden is evil. Trump must win. He's real. He will bring back the people's trust,' Voight began.

'These leftists are not for the American people. It's the biggest cover-up ever.'

Voight, who has been a longtime supporter of the president, went on to claim that Biden's plan for America is similar to that of former president Barack Obama.

'Biden is an extension of the policies of Obama that weakened America and we cannot let that happen again,' Voight told his more than 366,000 followers.

'The left are deceitful and have lied to the American people,' the 81-year-old added.

Voight called Trump 'a man of integrity' who is 'fighting for you and this country's welfare'.

Voight, who is the father of actress Angelina Jolie, has previously appeared at campaign rallies and events to support Trump.

Earlier this year, Voight praised Trump on two occasions as the coronavirus pandemic spread across the nation.

In a March video, Voight talked about American overcoming the pandemic, which at that time had started taking a toll on the epicenter, New York City.

1605214571681.png

'God bless this nation and the entire creation and may God protect our president and his family,' Voight said in the video.

A little less than two months later, Voight praised Trump for being a 'hero' who 'will protect his country till the end, with dignity, honor, respect and love'.

'We see president Trump as a magnificent soul, raising up this nation,' Voight said in May. 'He is a true patriot.'

'This is a man of great integrity. This is a man who held his head high. This is a man who took on evil and brought us the light. This is a man, a president, who guided his nation and his people on a path to greatness,' Voight added.

Before the pandemic, Voight also appeared at in-person events in support of the president, including one that took place in January.

Voight also narrated a video that kicked off the first night of the Republican National Convention in August.

Well, I'm getting the itch to break out my old DVDs of MIDNIGHT COWBOY and COMING HOME... I packed them away a long time ago.

Should I do it? Should I watch them?

I saw him in an episode of GUNSMOKE a few weeks ago (he did three) and it wasn't too painful. But then, he looked so young, it's hard to make the connection with the desiccated far-rightwing buzzard he is today.
