Really? I dunno, it seems like more of a puff-piece... And it's funny how "official versions" just never go away (both her hairdresser buds say Lana did it).

That's our Lana 'The Sweater Girl'. With such good looks in her heyday she was undoubtedly the ultimate pinup. Afterall the postman always rings twice. Did the milkman ring three times and the breadman have to go the fourth time?
Lana who yearned for ever lasting contentment.
Chase and his stepfather Alexander Nicolau are talking about Jacqueline's past and her evil cartel colleague Johann Riebmann; (a scene from season 4, 1984-'85):
Alexander: "I was one of many men, who passed through your mother's life. I was the only one who really loved her. Jacqueline kept her affairs to herself."
Chase: "Surely during ten years of marriage you must have known she was involved with the banking business, for instance."
Alexander: "Yes! In Geneva I believe."
Chase: "The Standard Credit Bank of Switzerland."
Alexander: "Your mother was a fascinating woman; beautiful, intelligent and totally unprincipled. Certain areas of her life would not bear close scrutiny. There were certain dealings that were legitimate no doubt but the Swiss bank was merely a cover. A means of laundering and distributing Cartel profits, which were considerable."
Chase: "How does Johann Riebmann fit into all this?"
Alexander: "He wanted to control all of those profits and was willing to do anything to gain it, anything at all. Even Jacqueline was terrified of him."
The plot thickens!

When real life and fiction mix you have the similarities of Lana and Jacqueline. A certain deceased boss even alluded to her, in an interview. The rest is history.

When Emma Channing got swept up in that call-girl business in S7, a reporter suggested she turn her story into a movie. He said Meryl Streep could play Emma, and Lana Turner could play Emma's mother.

I forgot about that!
Perhaps that hand in the dusty blue sweater who picked up a butcher knife in the Gioberti house was actually Jacqueline. I've always assumed she was in cahoots with Julia in some way, and then Julia shot her in the living room at Falcon Crest to shut her up.
That, and jealousy over Carlo (who'd slept with them all).
