Organized Crime is the longest-running Law & Order series I like the least. What I liked most about it, especially in the early seasons, was the large number of guest appearances by actors who were once well-known and popular in other shows. This helped me overlook some of the weak or unrealistic plot twists in Organized Crime. However, sometime in season 2, when the storyline with Dylan McDermott's character from season 1 was revived and things became increasingly bizarre, I realized that Organized Crime wasn't a good show, it was just putting on a show. What I disliked most about Organized Crime was how much they tried to please Christopher Meloni with the material he was given. At the end of his original Special Victims Unit run, it was already clear that the writers wanted to keep Meloni on the show with specific episodes just for his talent, but in Organized Crime, he wanted to shine as an actor in every single episode, and that was exhausting to watch. It even got to the point where I hoped Benson and Stabler wouldn't become a couple, because Olivia deserved better than him.
