Hi...I'm back after a long hiatus.

I finally found the apartment complexes used by Julie Gray and Leanne Reese (Amber) from the first full season (called the 2nd dvd season).

First I found Leanne Reese's apt, the gal who Pam moved in before moving back to S/F. I figured this might be around LA, as some scenes were shot in Century City, like the one where Bobby drops off Kristen to look at architecture. The word Canterbury was shown, as well as a street number. So I looked it up on Google Maps. I couldn't find that number in Dallas. So I checked L/A and voila. There it was. I forget the building number in the episode, but Google has it as 5900 Canterbury, Culver City. The wall is different, but it's the place, no doubt. You can see the "5" on the wall above the steps.

Also, I've been curious about Julie's, and I think Garnett's place. I think they used the same building for Julie/Garnett. The number is 6125, shown when Jock is met by Miss Ellie w/o her horse whip. I couldn't find it in Dallas, so I had a hunch it might be down the street from Leanne's, and I was right. 6125 Canterbury, Culver City. It's used also, if I remember, for Cliff's place later on. Could be mistaken on that, but it's so familiar. UPDATE: Exterior definitely used as Cliff's apt. Can be seen around when he resigns from the OLM.

Ray's last house, with Jenna, that Carter McKay bought, shows on Google Maps as 1181 Anna Cade Rd, Rockwall, TX. Below is Rays' first house, on McCreary, behind Southfork. Someone made an addition where the umbrella table used to be in the yard. To clarify, the split roof line on the picture left running perpendicular to McCreary is the original house. The windowed portion and the 2 story garage change was the addition.

Other locations will follow.

Pam's home from her mother is at 4930 Park Lane, Dallas. The original used in the series was replaced by what's there now. I remember finding it and looking at it on Google Maps before it was replaced. There was talk of it taking $15mil to upgrade the home as it was. I guess it was cheaper to replace it, as it looks a lot different now.

Two houses down at 4800 Park Lane is the interior used for dvd season 2 forward. It's currently for sale if you look on Realtor.com

Google shows as 6740 Westlake Ave, Dallas where Catherine mowed down Bobby. Pam's house changed from Park Lane to here sometime between this occurrence and the previous season. Satellite view shows the patio out back and pool where Bobby pushed whats-his-name from the show EMERGENCY into the pool.

Others are easy to find.

The Southern Cross is at 12040 S Bois D Arc St, Forney TX. It's also known as Rt 740.

The original Season 1 (first 5 pilot season) Southfork as at Preston and Main in Frisco TX. The house building is just east of Preston, known as the Brinkmann Ranch. Only the shell remains. But I'm sure most of us know that.

I'm also sure we all know the Southfork we all know and love is on what's now called Murphy Rd, Parker, TX. It's Rt 2551, and used to be called Hogge Rd. Google Maps has the name displayed when you zoom in on Parker TX. It's painful to see development going on so close to the ranch house.

Hi Bill and welcome back! This is great information :)

I’ve been to Texas and was lucky to visit the original
Southfork last year, on my way to the Ranch during the 40th celebrations :)

Other locations, for those who may not know...

Cliff's offices when his momma gives him Wade Luce's oil company is at the Campbell Center, Rt75 and Northwest Hwy. The buildings still look great!

Ewing Oil building is Renaissance Tower, Elm St., Dallas.

Bobby's Ewing Oil is Fountain Place.

Carter Mackay's Westar is Bank of America Plaza, Dallas.

I don't know the building where Jeremy Wendell had his offices.

Thanks. I remember you, "Afton", "MS Texas", and a few others.

That's awesome. So glad to hear it. The last time I visited was back in...I think it was '92. I may go back this year for a few days...and tour around while I'm there. I'm still, and always have been, a 'boys fan. -b

If I remember, Sue Ellen's "Valentine" was in Thanksgiving Tower.

The original 5 episodes had the Ewing offices in Bryan Tower. In one of the those episodes, you can see ONE DALLAS CENTER, catty-corner, under construction. I think was SPY IN THE HOUSE where Pam drives up and you see a building number and name.

I think the publisher guy Alex, who was after Pam, had his offices in LTV tower, shown as 1555 Elm St. Jimmy Ling of Ling-Tempco-Vought (sp?) is a great 60's story by itself.

Wentworth Tool and Die on Google Maps shows as 120 S Market St, Dallas.

The microphone-looking tower where JR shares the red file with Garr and Ames is Reunion Tower, by the Hyatt Dallas. Ate there once years ago...it was memorable.

That Hyatt lobby also was used to simulate Bobby and Pam's Vegas trip to the oil convention where they ran into Gary. I always thought that was a bit....tacky.

not all that far from the Canterbury apartments, we have the Toluca Lake Tennis Club, where JR laid a trap for powerful financier Ben Maxwell, who had inserted Cliff as head of the OLM.

it's still there! https://www.yelp.com/map/toluca-lake-tennis-and-fitness-club-los-angeles

They had some racquetball scenes there, with even pre-Ewing cowboy Ray getting into the action.

Excellent! Glad to know this! Yeah, a number of location scenes were done around LA...surprising, tho' it does make sense.

The Oil Barons restaurant was on top of 2100 Ross Ave Tower.

I used to know where Valene worked, the Hot Biscuit. I have to watch that again.
I watched the scene where Lucy and Gary went to meet Valene. The HOT BISCUIT was next to Texas Pipe / Equipment Supply. The club across the street could also be a clue. But 40 years is a long time. There's not Texas Pipe around Dallas/Ft Worth now, at least not one that shows up on Google. Ugh...

Here's a pic of a portion of the Mandalay Canals at Las Colinas. The bridge was seen in an episode. I think Holly and Bobby walked along the canal when it was determined there was to be no relationship. Marilee and escort were taking a gondola ride along here also.

I can't add this pic to the above post about Wentworth Tool & Die. So here it is from 120 S Market, Dallas.

Can't add this pic above either. Ray's home later in the series. The front of the barn to viewer's left of Ray's house (center) as used in a scene with Jenna...likely the one about Charlie's horse. It's 1078 Anna Cade Rd, Rockwall, Tx.
