A new season with a new flashback story - Really???



Sadly, I'm finding this the weakest show of the four I'm watching. It doesn't have much of a direction and I'm bored of stories that start where a team breaks apart. I'm sure Thea & Diggle will return, but I just don't want to watch it.

Not that I'm giving it up, I do enjoy Arrow and I'm hopeful it will rise and start to challenge the other three this season.

The second episode shows signs of improvement with the current timeline, I like the new additions, especially the Ragman.

It feels really weird when Diggle talks about his son.

I hope they find a way to work Felicity and Ragman into the story because he's the best new recruit.

I don't like Curtis' mask, is it painted on?

Prometheus is my favourite villain of the series, very mysterious and very powerful. I wonder if there will be a twist and this turns out to be a woman. I won't go digging for pictures in case it reveals who is behind the mask.

I'm very happy that Diggle is back on the team, the new recruits are great, but I get tired of seeing them screw up. As for Thea, I'm not sure I want her back on the team, I always found Speedy to be a naff character.

This is the last season for flashbacks and I think you will like how they finish it all out.

I hope they find a way to work Felicity and Ragman into the story because he's the best new recruit.

I like Ragman too. Unfortunately, they do not use him as much as I'd like them to have. I think they were getting bogged down in all the new team members.

As for Thea, I'm not sure I want her back on the team, I always found Speedy to be a naff character.

I didn't really miss Thea too much this season--particularly on the team. I do miss her presence as Oliver's only remaining family member, though.

I've never been able to fully accept Thea and Laurel been part of the team. Their training felt rushed and I'm not saying by that, that I wanted it to drag on all season.

It's been easier to accept Oliver, Diggle and Roy because of their history and what brought them to where they are now.

By that same token, I'm really struggling with Curtis and how quickly he's integrated into the team. I know he's still struggling and messing up, but there is something that feels totally off to me.

I've been loving this season with Prometheus and always wanting to know who he was. Now with an added masked vigilante I had two masked characters that need to be exposed.

During a fight with the red visor vigilante I got the impression that this might have been Adrian Chase because he took the evidence from Dinah. I was wrong, Adrian is Prometheus and the music playing during his reveal was awesome.

You're nearing the point in the season where I felt it took a turn for the frustrating, for a few episodes. But you do have a good solid episode of Stephen Amell without a shirt on the entire time coming up soon. So at least there's that.

Well, you won't have any flashback-less episodes this season. They carry on right up to the final episode of the season. But next season, supposedly no flashbacks.

I don't know that they were really necessary, but I do like the casting for Curtis and Wild Dog. I like Wild Dog's interactions with Laurel's dad.

I love Curtis and I like Rene, I'm just not hung up on their hero stuff. Wild Dog has potential, while I think Curtis works best as Curtis.

Yes, and the times it happens when they are playing the heroes is what makes the scene more fun for me too.

That was fun, especially seeing him interact with the audience.

I do laugh when I watch Felicity watching Olivier climb those bars.

That's kind of the start of it, but that wasn't exactly what I was referring to. It gets more frustrating, at least from my point of view. But I did enjoy the last few episodes of the season.
