Great questions from everybody! Moi and la Pig just wanted to know...

1) Have you had any pet of some other species, like say frogs, or pigs?
2) Richard Channing had a harem of secre-lovers. Which soap actor would you choose for that job?
3) If you had a son (in whatever way), what name would you give to him?
4) If you were on a plane with Joan Collins sitting next to you, what would you ask her?
5) Miss Piggy wants to know if you are single, and how much you have in your account... (feel free to answer...or not)

Thanks for your questions Toni.

Have you had any pet of some other species, like say frogs, or pigs?

lol, never a frog or a pig. But when I lived in Thailand there was a restaurant on the beach where they had two pet coconut monkeys. Not my pets, but I developed a really strong friendship with one of them, the older one. We would hang out every day, play, go swimming in the sea. She was so clever and funny, a real character. As the months went on we just got closer and closer. She was high energy all the time, as monkeys are, but I was the only one who she would ever fall asleep with., curled up on my lap. It was a beautiful thing to be able have that kind of friendship with a monkey, and when I had to say goodbye to her for the last time it was devastating. There's more to the story, and it's a sad one unfortunately. One of the few times I've ever had my heart broken was by that monkey. In fact I'm tearing up a little now even talking about it.

That's the last time I cried @Angela Channing :D

Richard Channing had a harem of secre-lovers. Which soap actor would you choose for that job?

I'd be quite willing to bury the hatchet with Lance if he would come and work for me at the New Globe as my secretary/lover.

If you had a son (in whatever way), what name would you give to him?

I am now the proud father of a little black cat and his name is Milo.

If you were on a plane with Joan Collins sitting next to you, what would you ask her?

"What are you doing in economy??" :)

Miss Piggy wants to know if you are single, and how much you have in your account... (feel free to answer...or not)

Hi Richard. I have t had too much interaction with you on these boards so I am not sure what to ask. I guess my inquiry will be about food since I have not seen any questions regarding this.

What type of food is your favorite and do you have a specific dish that you enjoy?

Hi Richard, I've enjoyed reading your answers this week so that you for taking part in being in the spotlight. I have a few final questions for you:
  1. What are people often surprised to learn about you?
  2. What’s your favourite alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink?
  3. Do you consider yourself as being a private person or someone who is open about their life?
  4. What is the best thing that has happened to you this year?

Hi Richard,

I remember the threads about BB with fondness, so my questions are all about BB :D

Which was your favourite series (both civilian and celebrity)?

Who were your favourite HMs?

Did you have a favourite task?

Who were your favourite winners?

Thanks

Thanks for the question @rlr718. Btw, I like your avatar.

I would probably say my favourite food is Indian or Italian. Although two of my favourite dishes aren't from either of those cultures. I love massaman curry, which is a Thai curry with potatoes and peanuts and whatever meat you like. Best curry ever. And then I also love a good lamb tagine, which is Moroccan.

Then of course I love a roast dinner with all the trimmings or steak and chips.

Hi Richard, I've enjoyed reading your answers this week so that you for taking part in being in the spotlight. I have a few final questions for you:

It's been a pleasure!

What are people often surprised to learn about you?

I think someone asked me this last time around and I'll give the same answer: That I speak (some) Swahili.
Although it's very rusty now after not having spoken it for many years.

What’s your favourite alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink?

I like a glass of red wine, preferably a nice Rioja. Or if I was in the mood for a cocktail then a mojito. I like Baileys too.

Do you consider yourself as being a private person or someone who is open about their life?

It really depends. With my closest friends I'm an open book, but in general I would say I am somewhat of a private person. I'm usually happy to share things about myself when asked, but otherwise don't tend to offer up too much. But I am quite secretive too, so I'll usually only reveal so much but certain things I'll keep to myself.

What is the best thing that has happened to you this year?

Definitely moving into my new apartment in February. It's so lovely and I have really enjoyed decorating it. I have it exactly how I wanted it now. Before that I lived with my folks for a while so it was great to have my independence back. Just before lockdown too so I was really happy to be in my own space for that.

Thanks for your questions @Long Lashes. Now I spent a lot of the 2000's travelling and some of the 2010's so I didn't see every season. But I'll give you what I can remember from the ones I saw.

My favourite season is season 7, the one with Nikki and Pete and Aisleyne. For me that was BB at it's best. Great cast and loads of drama. It was such addictive viewing.

My favourite celebrity season was season 16. The UK vs The Us one., with Janice Dickinson, Jenna and Farrah. So much good drama that year. But I also liked the one with David Gest and the one with Kim Woodburn.

My all time favourite HM would have to be Nikki.

I enjoyed the season, it was one of the last few, where they had 'the power', which would secretly switch to different HM's. It created so much havoc and paranoia in the house and really made things interesting.

More often than not my favourites didn't make it to the end. I thought Helen was great TV so she was one of the good winners. Pete was great too.

I like Miller Lite beer, and O'Douls non-alcoholic brew.

Richard Denault Channing was like a male Alexis, in some ways. The key difference between the two characters was Richard's 3D aura. DYNASTY'S Alexis was written as an outright bitch; who memorably participated in outlandish cat fights, with her ex husband's second wife. Yeah Richard did ruffle many feathers, when he became a main character in 1982 and of course Joan Collins' Alexis had the same effect. The Colorado show's new diva really made the show her own, whereas David Selby's 'Dick Dastardly' couldn't possibly have overshadowed Jane Wyman's grape granny Angela.

Pamela and Richard are in 'The New Globe' office, (a scene from season 3, 1983 - '84):

Pamela: "We need a drink."

Richard: "Pour yourself one. I'll have a glass of milk."

Pamela finds a wine bottle at the bar and says: "80 years old, I'm very impressed. Now it must have cost an awful lot of money. So I want you to engorge yourself."

The newspaper publisher senses that his assistant is coming onto him.

Richard: "Miss Lynch, what do you want to do? Get me drunk?"

Pamela: "And what is so terrible about that?"
