Hard to believe it was 25 years ago on Sept 11th 2001- that fateful day - it was the day the world changed forever and affects us all to this day.

In loving memory of those who lost their lives on that fateful day, when Islamic terrorists crashed into the Twin towers in New York. And also the Pentagon and a field near Shanksville

It was a day when the world changed forever and was never the same again, and perhaps if G Bush and T Blair took a different path / actions the world will be a far less dangerous place today and with recent events in Afghanistan - well I just dont get it.

To the armed services, Police, Fire, Medical etc who helped and some who sadly lost their lives too, it is a day that is etched in my mind forever and will never be forgotten and cant be forgotten. And all in the name of religion.

I remember where I was and the patient I was working with and there was a small TV on in the corner of the ward room. And a plane crashed into a building and I thought I was watching a trailer to a new film, only I wasn't. From then all staff congregated round a big TV and no one could move, transfixed by what we were watching and horrified by it

After work I was getting my eyebrows done but I raced home, and stuck a Video in the VHS recorder and stuck it on long play so a 4 hour tape could do 8 hours. Despite the horror of it I was transfixed by it and didn't want to miss a minute, I sobbed watching the footage and I still do to this day.

Sometimes we're not paranoid enough.
