After 4 weeks of voting on 21st-century characters. Listed below are all the characters that qualify into the next stage Best Characters of the 21st Century. To qualify, each character must have landed in the top 20 of each decade – we started voting on our favourite top 20, and that’s how we will continue. I have listed them in alphabetical order by the show and not the character in hope of making it easier to look through before you place your vote.

Well technically Fuller House is a spin-off and since we could vote for Gary & Val for Knots although they originated on Dallas. It's the same thing with Stephanie.

I get Gary & Val. They were hardly even on Dallas. Just basically there to introduce a new series. Stephanie spent years on Full House in the 80s and 90s before the spin-off. Same character and same actress all the way. Stephanie to me is much more like Frasier Crane. He originated on Cheers in the 80s, then got a spin-off in the 90s. He's an 80s character.

Still Stephanie's character evolved. She was not my favorite on Full House when she was just DJ's kid sister. She was my favorite on Fuller House as I could relate much more to the adult Stephanie. Besides it is two different shows. Full House and Fuller House.

It's completely up to @Ome - if he's ok with Stephanie being both an 80s character and a 10s character, fine by me! I love Stephanie. She was my clear favourite on Full House and on Fuller House.

I rely heavily on all members sticking with the rules because I don't know every TV show or its characters. I understand there could be confusion, though I try my best to lay out the guidelines. Having researched this character, I see that she is from the 20th century and does not belong in this vote. I'm sorry, Karin, but I'm not going to include her.

Please don't get upset over this; it's not worth that kind of negative energy, and I believe I have to be as fair as I can. Stephanie Tanner is the same as John Ross and Christopher as they were introduced while they were young or they were bord into the TV show.

I hadn’t watched the last few shows on my list but I just looked up a few clips on YouTube to see who could fill up the top 20. They looked the best ones to me. No question Maggie Smith takes first place though Miranda Hart did make me laugh as much as the Dowager Countess…

Isn't it like ROSEANNE vs. THE CONNERS? Yes it's the same fictional universe with the same fictional characters, but can we really ignore the different title? Is it exactly the same series?

What if DALLAS 2012 was called DALLASSER? I'm sure everyone would insist on being able to vote for Bobbier, Sue Elllener, John Rossier as 2010 characters (nobody wants to vote for Christopher of course, poor bastard).
