Oh come on Ome that is so not fair!

Gosh! You make it look like I'm a cheap villain in a successful soap.


Hand on heart, when I thought of doing this and then set about creating the scene, I never set out to be unfair or go to any lengths to upset members wanting to take part. This is quite a task when it comes to tallying up all the votes while trying to ensure members have followed the guidelines, and even then, it can cause blurry eyes when looking at all the names and TV shows they come from. Then I have to make sure I get the right votes for each character, which can be a bit troubling when one member uses a different name for the same character. Another member uses a couple of different names when dealing with a TV show I am not familiar with.

A couple of examples could be one member saying Diana Prince and another saying Wonder Woman. That's an obvious choice of example, but there could be confusion with someone who hasn't watched or followed the character. Then there is SOND AND DAUGHTERS. I've never seen that show, so seeing the name Patricia Hamilton and then Patricia Morrell could be two different characters, as far as I am aware. Then someone else could say Pat the Rat, and again, I'm not to know.

We have to have boundaries (Thanks, @Angela Channing); otherwise, it becomes messy, and because we are voting on characters and not actors, it shouldn't make the slightest difference. We are not looking for the actor who played the character better than a previous actor. We're looking for favourite characters. In some long-running shows, there is always the chance different actors have portrayed the same character.

I may be very boring creating the same first post for each decade, but that means I've been consistent with the guidelines.

Overall, I have tried to be as fair as possible, so I'm sorry you are not enjoying this. Thankfully many other members have enjoyed taking part.
