The Ewings Lose Southfork to Cliff

Amazon Prime's Primetime Soaps channel is currently airing the eighth season premiere of Falcon Crest. Melissa uncovered a document at the end of the previous season and seized control of the winery with a document that the Agrettis owned the land. I think this could have worked on Dallas. Perhaps after Aunt Maggie's death, Cliff helps clean up her house to sell. He uncovers a very old document and letter. Aaron Southworth lost Southfork in a gambling bet to Digger's father Henry and owned up to it. Cliff finds a deed with Henry listed and transfer of ownership document. He takes the Ewings to court and wins. Cliff comes by with police after the Ewings had a chance to say goodbye. Bobby is tempted to deck him but watches the officers eyes on him. Cliff tells Pam the Barnes finally got their revenge on the Ewings and wants her to live on the ranch with him. She tells Cliff he is dead to her and can never see either her or Christopher ever again. Miss Ellie tells Cliff the war is not over and that the mineral rights are deeded to her grandchildren. Cliff has other ideas of his own. He and Wendell go into partnership and plan to drill in secret. They have it set up where it looks like the crude is coming from a source of Westar but the Ewings are going to bust those two. Any thoughts/ideas?

Maybe this happened between oldDALLAS and nuDALLAS. In the interim, Cliff redecorates the entire house just to be disrespectful and funny, personally painting the impressionist watercolor of Jock & Ellie by himself as an insult.

By the time nuDALLAS begins in 2012, the Ewings are back on Southfork -- either because they forced Cliff out or because they're paying him a monthly rent. (Cliff cackles in closeup every time he receives a check).

I think Cliff should have won Southfork by entering the Ewing Rodeo and winning the best all-around cowboy title after tricking JR into betting the ranch that he couldn’t beat the likes of Dusty Farlow and Ray Krebbs.

It turns out Cliff was secretly the finest calf roper in all of Texas, and easily in the top 5 in bull riding and steer wrestling as well, having honed his skills while working his way through law school as a rodeo clown,
