The commentary, both progressive and regressive, is not so different from today.

Seriously though it's a bit of an eye opener that documentary.

Full marks to Dynasty and Aaron Spelling Productions for showing that there's nothing wrong with being gay.

I wasn't sure what I was when I was a teenager. I knew I wasn't attracted to girls.

But both Dallas & Dynasty showed me what I truly was and I thank both shows for that.

Sadly, DYNASTY was homophobic as hell -- not just the characters but the show itself.

I've tried to tell younger fans that the portrait of Steven Carrington wasn't a step forward -- even by 1980s standards. But yet they're sure it must've been.

I don't think that I knew that lesbianism was legal in Britain while male homosexuality was not. But then, lesbianism doesn't take anything away from women ...
