The Patty Duke Show

[Seaviewer]

I will say, from what I have recently watched of the original show, the episodes seem more Patty oriented, but I haven't watched much. I know it was only on for 3 seasons, but back then they had more episodes than a prime-time soap in the 80's, so I still have a lot to get through. Just from what I've seen so far, they seem to center more around Patty.

From memory, I think you're right. It was Patty's family, after all. and Patty was the eponymous character. It was supposed to be about two cousins but it was really about Patty and her family and friends, which included Cathy.

I said in one of my earlier posts that it has a "Leave It To Beaver" like charm, but I actually venture to say it's not quite as corny as "Leave It To Beaver..at least not by season 3, which as I mentioned above, I skipped ahead to. It seems a little more witty, perhaps? Of course, now it's been a while since I've seen Leave It To Beaver, but I was always more acquainted with it than this one.
