Never thought I would see the day that Carlson would be so openly critical of the Trump administration. I also never thought I would see the day that I actually agreed with Tucker Carlson.

Carlson is being demonized (literally being called a demon) by right wing influencers on X. Laura Loomer has been particularly vicious -all while insisting that anyone who says one negative thing about Trump or Kirk be designated as terrorists.

Actually, I'm now kind of worried about Tucker's, Candace's, and Megyn's physical welfare.

I've never been a fan of them, but they've changed their tune on one particular middle eastern country. And that's proving to be dangerous.

Actually, Tucker Carlson has been changing his tune on a number of issues, starting to tell the truth about corporate greed and its influence on the American government -- which is why FOX fired him, despite his having the highest-rated news discussion show in all of television. I was frankly surprised he wasn't canned earlier, as his shift was overtly heretical.

Max Blumenthal, too, who I've always appreciated.

The quasi violent rhetoric being directed at Candace Owens right now is pretty damned frightening. I haven't really seen much about Kelly.

It's ironic to me that the very people (specifically Loomer) blaming Kirk's murder on dehumanizing rhetoric is now going after her own former allies with such vitriol and hate.

I think you all need to be prepared that Trump doesn't plan on going anywhere in 3 years. He's not having the tacky (fake gold and white I'm sure) ballroom built just in time for his exit. His enablers aren't following the script of Project 25 and doing all these things for it to be overturned next election.

They know it's all radically unpopular with the vast majority and they don't care. Why don't they care about a majority anymore I wonder.

Sadly I think that's what it will take.... Former cultist followers starting to see the light and realizing what they've unleashed may be the only way to stop it. That and the Supreme Court justices actually having some national pride instead of blind loyalty to TACO.

I don't know about the Supreme Court. They side with him even when the Constitution is clearly against him.

I'd love it if the populist left and the populist right united in the wake of the Charlie Kirk tragedy. I keep hoping for the death of neoliberalism and neoconservatism (despite the rhetoric, Trump's basically a neocon and a wannabe dictator.) Tucker Carlson was likely fired by Fox for speaking out against the Ukraine War. That was certainly for the best because it freed him from that neocon bubble. Hopefully, the conservatives who aren't pledging their unconditional support to Trump and Israel beef up their security detail.

There's a saying that "If you want to know who rules over you, just look at who you are not allowed to criticize." And that's turning out to be Trump and Israel.

Some people may point out that Loomer specified "violent" political enemies, but she also said "I’ve had enough of the Left only thinking we will defund them; prosecute them, lock them up and dismantle their power for generations to come. It just needs to happen." It sounds like the far-right is aiming to be even more authoritarian than the woke left.

So many who are on what passes for "the Left" today are missing the fact that Kirk had been increasing his alignment with them on the genocide in Gaza (because most of the mainstream media isn't reporting it that way or, at most, are conveying and portraying it as an "absurd conspiracy theory" -- just as Count Dracula himself described it about three seconds before Kirk hit the ground in Utah).

But the woke-Left's blind reaction that "Kirk is a racist rightwing Republican" (and he's displayed ample evidence of all three in the past) is playing directly into hands of TACO and Count Dracula (and their donors).

Kirk was killed, in all likelihood, for his beginning to betray the establishment's war policy, but many Dem voters will never know it. Which is why ideological rigidity is self-destructive; it obscures what's actually happening.

TACO's Stephen Miller was shouting from his pulpit the other day about how they'd take away the freedoms -- and money -- from those who disagree with them. He didn't even need a swastika behind him. But who would give him such a position in the administration in the first place, as he's always been overtly unhinged (and looks physically like what he is)? One can only guess how he might be sexually compromised by that "other" Transylvania.

Miller could almost be "sexy" for those into necrophiliac vampires. (And, as always, I never judge others).

But the more we drift into overt totalitarianism, the less need there is to finesse the public. Raging fascist archetypes just begin to blur into the scenery. The ghouls fall shrieking out of their sarcophagi and no subtlety is required any longer.

And then those archetypes yell: "Well then, we'll just give you something to cry about!" to justify doing what they'd always intended to do anyway.

It's really just the Republicans returning to form -- this was always who they were, but had to appear to be more rational for a while as the Woke-y battalion went insane (which I, for one, have always asserted was a rightwing psy-op in itself). And now that there's Republican rule once again, it's back to the usual fascisticky business.

The greater problem now is that we have superior technology to facilitate our greater control. And we have a president more vindictive than he was the first time around -- in part because he was over-prosecuted by lawfare in 2024 (as the Clintons were in the '90s, although I have no use for Hillary today) and an even stronger desire to please his donors and screw over the working class he always courts but whose "weakness" he reviles. And, just perhaps, a valid fear for his own life.

Hold on to yer hats. I think it's gonna suck.
