I'm amazed at how far ahead they were filming, but it makes sense considering the show is written and paced like a daytime soap. Also, there are rumors and Tyler Perry felt pushed out of OWN once Oprah started having success with more critically acclaimed shows and that is what led to his exit from OWN. If true, that explains why this show ended, because ratings were still good and the new shows they're launching don't have the same success. I have heard of this, but hadn't personally started watching until I started seeing Veronica going viral on Twitter every now and then. I'm now halfway through season two and this is just what I needed. It is like the combination of a Bill Bell soap and Passions. I feel like had Tyler taken these same characters and storylines and added a full writing staff he could've had a classic soap. Of course with just him in charge you get the camp classic he ended up with. Despite it's issues, I'd love to see Tyler try his hand at a daytime soap. I feel like he's the only person who could launch one and have it be successful.
