After Susan's last episode, I stopped watching. Since then I read the spoilers to find out when I should read a recap of an episode. I haven't seen a whole episode since 2012. I basically only root for Steffy and Stephanie's legacy. Not enough to make me a viewer again. I am perfectly fine with spoilers, a few recaps here and there and some videoclips of selected scenes, often provided by one of the Steffy fans on Instagram.
I think the next time I will watch a full episode is when I here it's cancelled. I will probably watch the last month.

When you all complained about current storylines I thought it isn't that bad, but this week's episodes have been very weak so far. I like Quinn, Carter and Justin, but their group scene was embarrassing. Is it so unusual for an old man to be impotent? Everyone acts as if it was impossible. At lunch time CBS viewers do not want to be informed about the possibilities of satisfaction, but there are other ways for Eric to please a woman other than with his little friend.

I don't like Sheila being dumped down. Sheila would smooth around town, probably proving Eric that she has changed or befriend Li, but she wouldn't confront Steffy again and again. She's not that stupid.

This tendency to have repeated scenes with the same two or three actors over and over (and usually on the same set) is often a budgetary constraint, where the actors do a batch of non-sequential scenes in one shooting day. Those scenes are then dropped into several episodes that may span days or even weeks. The "story bubbles" were happening long before Covid, but now that they're trying to limit the number of people in the studio at any given time, the bubbles are becoming even more pronounced.

If I were writing it, Sheila would be dropping by Eric's to help him solve that pesky ED problem in one afternoon of "playing nurse" . Eric would feel alternately repulsed and turned on by her seduction, but results are what matters! He's left not sure whether to head for the hills or 'ride the wave to the end'. He likes the idea of being "cured," of course, but why does Sheila "light his candle" when Quinn can't? It would introduce the idea that Eric's impotency might be more to do with how Quinn doesn't turn him on any more, and for some reason Sheila does.

I’m trying to figure this out. How did we get from Eric wanting to divorce Quinn, taking her portrait down, telling Carter he could never see her again if he wants to stay employed, to wanting her back and saying it’s okay for her to sleep with Carter again? I would love to sit down with this writing team and try to understand their logic.

It's once again desperate Eric who cannot be on his own. Not even for a month. He's always hated being single, so he jumps into new relationships all the time. That's how he ended up with Sheila back in the 90s. That's how he ended up with Donna and that's how he ended up with Quinn. When he's lonely, he doesn't care if the person he begins a relationship with is a psycho or has been with his sons or is the sister of his ex etc. Anything is better than being alone. Even taking Quinn back and let her sleep with her lover is better than being alone.

It does always seem to be the case, doesn’t it? I guess him lending Quinn to Carter shouldn’t surprise me then but it still did I have to say. Even for a lonely Eric this just seemed so out of character to me.

Well, he's getting older and older and so much of his life has been designing, sex & being a father. Now he's pretty much a has-been in all areas thatmade him tick. He's depressed and doesn't want to be alone in the mansion. He knows he can't just go hook up with a new younger woman because of his ED. Quinn was already his wife, so he figures she can be there most of the time so he won't be lonely.

I'd advice Eric to find a woman his own age who may not feel that sex is very important anymore. Someone who is more about companionship and enjoying life's other aspects. But it's Eric we're talking about.... He doesn't really like women his own age. The only one he's been with who was his own age was Stephanie.

Brooke and Ridge are so unlikeable right now. Writers might think because they are so iconic they can judge everyone all the time, but it's not fun anymore. Not sure yet if Deacon is fun again. I suppose he'll work with Sheila first, but will eventually throw her under the bus to look good for Hope and his skeptics.

I do get a chuckle out of the both of them giving marital advice, advice on parenting, relationships, morals, etc. I can’t think of two people more in need of counseling over the last 34 years so it is ironic that they have become the moral compass of the show.

Isn't it strange that Brooke, who always has been horny 24/7, wants to push her sister into a sexless relationship with Eric? Donna might have the magic touch when it comes to Eric, but Brooke didn't know it when she took action.

Katie and Carter are already boring me, even though they are not yet a couple.

Sheila and Deacon doing their thing is the best part of the show right now.

I’m waiting for Brooke to offer her help to Eric next, telling him she can cure him. That honestly wouldn’t surprise me.

Maybe there could be a scene similar to the scene in Cinderella when all the ladies of the kingdom lined up to try on the glass slipper. Instead, all the ladies of Los Angeles line up in the Forrester living room to take their turn trying to make Eric 'rise to the occasion'. They could put up velvet ropes and have the ladies take numbers like they do at the deli. Bonus points if the group waits underneath a portrait of a disapproving Stephanie.

Is 80 the new 40? The way women talk to and about Eric gives the impression that if it weren't for the impotence, Eric would be able to satisfy Quinn with the same physical strength as Carter. I wish Shauna would Quinn ask about Eric's ways to make love in the past and if he did pleasure her in more than the obvious way, but sadly Shauna isn't as curious as I am.

That's what I've been asking myself. Why would 50 year old women fight for an 80 year old? Unless it's for fame and fortune that is...........

I just can’t watch this show anymore. This storyline just isn’t holding my interest. I think ED is a serious thing and I just feel like the way they’re handling it is making it out to be a joke. This could’ve been a good storyline had they handled it properly.

Honestly the show hasn't been the same since Susan and Ronn left.
I might be the only one, but I enjoyed the first years without Susan and Ronn more than their final years.

All Ridge did was mediate between Brooke and Taylor as they quarreled over their daughters' love lives. I admire Ronn Moss for making the decision that he wants to do something other than that for the rest of his life.

Susan Flannery got stories that demanded acting in Stephanie's final years, but I was never really a fan of them. I still remember how annoyed I was when Stephanie tried to dissuade Nick from smoking cigars.

When Stephanie and Ridge were gone, Bell really went out of his way for a while not to lose viewers. Unfortunately, it got monotonous at some point when he realized that Liam's love life would lead to big ratings.
