Some interesting tidbit about Francesca "Frankie" : I already knew that the writers of "the Colbys" wanted to called her Anthea (a greek name) but I learnt last week that after that they considered calling her Antonia "Tony".

"Anthea" means "flower" or "blossom", and in Greek mythos, she was the goddess of flowers, nature and human love (although the name was also an epithet for Hera and Aphrodite). So that actually *would* have been a good name for her, although that also means the likelihood of her nickname being "Annie" which doesn't fit the kind of world that the Colbys live in.

Although I am grateful they didn't go with Antonia/Tony. That would have been worse, IMO.
