Who would you date?

Of all 80s soaps, which character would you choose to date or even marry?

For me, I may have chosen someone else when I was younger. But now, at 38, my choice would be Ray Krebbs.

He's down to earth, works hard and can get dirty in the sexy kind of way. Living in a cozy house on a ranch is more me than living in a mansion.

I’m not quite sure I can narrow it down to just one here but I’ll start in Dallas and ask out Pamela Barnes Ewing. I know she had her faults. I mean, I would never put her on my auto insurance and we’d never have dinner on top of any tall buildings with her sitting close to the edge for obvious reasons but I liked her for much more than just her beauty. She had an incredible heart and a terrific sense of loyalty to the ones she cared about. And that laugh was just contagious.

Over on Dynasty it’s Fallon number two for me. Just adored her as a teenager. Loved the puppy dog eyes and she always came across as being very sweet and charming. Her accent was beautiful and she’s probably the only woman alive that can convince me to take a ride in a UFO. Absolutely adorable woman.

If we’re opening this up to daytime soaps, then I’m headed to Genoa City to ask out my all time favorite villainess, Jill Foster Abbott (the original, as portrayed by Brenda Dickson). Conniving, manipulative, cunning, camp, over the top, self centered, egotistical, not one quality I value in a woman yet somehow she made it all work. One flash of that bad girl smile and she could steal your heart.

So those would be my top 3 back then.

I imagine a date with FC's Lance Cumson would be scandalous, since I'm certainly not his 'type' (that pesky Y chromosome). Still, if I had some important information on an enemy of Angela's that she needed in order to save the winery, I'd gladly mention her hunky grandson to her as part of my "terms". "Close your eyes and think of Falcon Crest," she would deadpan to a reluctant Lance. "And wear something tight."

Based on looks and character I'd marry Colleen Champion (The Yellow Rose) or Nikolai (The Colbys).

DYNASTY, it's probably Zorelli, while FC it's likely Cole. KNOTS, it might be Richard, but I dunno.

From Dallas it would be between Pamela and Donna, Pamela for her beauty and Donna for her intellect. I think Donna would make for a more interesting date so I'll go for her.

From Falcon Crest my choice would like to say Melissa who has both the looks and the intellect but I couldn't handle the scheming so my choice would be Linda Caproni.

Dynasty I would choose Kirby Anders, and Annabelle Troy for Flamingo Road.

Looking over my original post on this thread, one person I forgot to mention was Phyllis on Dallas. Always seemed like the nicest person and my guess is she would make a good listener. At the very least she could type any letters I needed to send out.

Tough one - Ray was pretty sexy early on but became a terrible old moaner. James was sexy as hell but had the personality of a baked bean, Dack Rambo seemed to have the goods, but put it about too much and Mickey was cheeky but a bit too grouchy. So maybe a date with each one and see how it goes.

FC I can only think of Lance, but he is still the jock from Grease for me, so that doesn't work.

Dynasty is easy - Dex, because Michael Nader was pretty hot and manly.

Dallas: - I would date Mitch and maybe James too, the rest of the Dallas men are looking old for their age.
Dynasty - I would date Jeff and Dex because they are the most sober persons on the show, and they are also very good looking men to see
Falcon Crest: - i would date Cole and Dan, both are good looking men.

But through all that dating with all those men I will finally end up with only one man that I would really like to marry too, and that is Gary Ewing from Knots Landing, well if he stays sober of course.
