Who is the most famous person you have met and did they live up to your expectations?
Sinterklaas, and I was very nervous!
1607454469527.png
I'm sure I enjoyed the candy.
If you were organising the dinner party from hell and had to pick the 5 most annoying celebrities to be there, who would you choose?
Kim Woodburn, Stephen Bear, Greta Thunberg, Madonna and Simon Cowell.
It would be like my own private CBB horror show.:pals:
If you could meet any famous person in the world who would you pick and what questions would you like to ask them?
Tom Cruise, and then convince him to convince me to join the church. Just listening to all the scientology techno babble.

Tough questions, Angela! :hat:

Which is your favorite episode of Little House On the Prairie?
I think it was the Ingalls & Olesons go camping episode. Or the restaurant for Nellie's birthday. And when she faked to be paralysed.
What's the best concert you've ever been to?
I'm afraid that's not my kind of entertainment.
What's the best trip you've done so far?
That was an organised trip to Florida. I've also been to London and that was fun but it ended in a fall out between me and the others - and then there was Spain In The Rain, and what a dreadful place it was. Playing cards and drinking Martinis, there was nothing else to do. We were going to Barcelona (or was it Madrid) but of course we ended up in the wrong side of town. No beautiful boulevards and shops, no not for us.
What's your favorite city to visit?
Antwerp used to be my weekend-home, but not really because of the city itself.
Why did you leave Canada?
I was exiled!

I hope you're not feeling overwhelmed at being in the spotlight Willie :D

I've made my first question easy by giving you a multiple choice. If you could be any of the following, which would you choose?

A. An Astronaut?
B. A successful singer/songwriter?
C. A world renowned Pianist?
D. An award winning soap hunk?
E. A best selling author?

My second question is, if you were stranded on a desert island for a year which book, DVD and CD would you take with you?

Tourist-English is not a language, it's managing.
I have to say that your written English is excellent :10:

A few more questions for you Willie, if I may:
  1. What would be your dream job?
  2. What would you do if had enough money to not need a job?
  3. If there was an Olympics for everyday activities, what activity would you have a good chance at winning a medal in?
  4. What are some things everyone should try at least once?

Hi Willz!
(And no, I will not apologize for nicknaming you that. Nor will I stop.)

My Qs are these:
1. How would you have ended Dallas if you were headwriter towards the end?
2. If you could only re-watch one series for the rest of your life, which one would you pick?
3. I imagine you living in a Studio 54 replica. Why is that?
4. What do you want me to ask you and what would you answer to it?

Who was your Falcon Crest favourite character
Tough choice!
1607559987517.png
Did you cheer for the Giobertis , on Angela's side, in the middle with Richard or whatever way the wind blew Melissa?
I cheered for every character who made the story interesting. I "supported" Chase's dream but the villains need their victories too.

I hope you're not feeling overwhelmed at being in the spotlight Willie
With a 14,000+ post count (and my big opinions all over the forums) it feels a bit like overkill to have me in the spotlight.
The problem is, there's so much on this site that interests me. I even like to read and discuss soaps I haven't watched myself.
There are other factors that have contributed to that high post count: I wasn't as crushed by the crash as the other forum members so I just kept posting. Others were still deciding whether or not to re-register.
Then there was NuDynasty, even before we actually got to see the episodes.
Telly Talk (and SC before that) has become so much more diverse, it's no longer just about Dallas & Dynasty, and that means there is more to discuss.

And as the self-imposed guardian angel of The Colbys forum I also have to keep the anti-Colbys villains at bay. And quite successfully, if I may say so.

But I digress (actually, you didn't ask about any of this).
If you could be any of the following, which would you choose?

A. An Astronaut?
B. A successful singer/songwriter?
C. A world renowned Pianist?
D. An award winning soap hunk?
E. A best selling author?
I'd love to be a best selling author of big and dramatic family sagas full of scandal, financial and political intrigue. Only hardcover editions with beautiful dust jackets.
if you were stranded on a desert island for a year which book, DVD and CD would you take with you?
A whole year...and there's nothing else to do. Maybe The Kent Chronicles by John Jakes, but that's a series so that feels like cheating.
I think I would take a dictionary - English or French or Spanish - and then return thin, tanned and smart.
The CD - well it wouldn't have to be Ocean Sounds To Relax By!
A whole year of the same favourite music, eventually I'm going to hate it, and I don't want that.
How about one of those hardcore Thunderdome compilations, just in case I can't stand the silence anymore. Anarchistic Sounds To Be Stranded By.
The DVD is...Footballers Like It Big.

A few more questions for you Willie, if I may
Of course :)
What would be your dream job?
Producing remixes and release them on CD maxi-single and 12" vinyls (not available to download/ituned/spotified)
I've already remixed many songs, but only in my head.
What would you do if had enough money to not need a job?
All the things I like to do (reading, watching great series) and I would also like to learn a few languages. And visit my family more often.
If there was an Olympics for everyday activities, what activity would you have a good chance at winning a medal in?
Hmm...smoking?
What are some things everyone should try at least once?
Smoking?

How would you have ended Dallas if you were headwriter towards the end?
End it? Not end it!
If you could only re-watch one series for the rest of your life, which one would you pick?
Murder She Wrote. For some mysterious reason I always forget whodunnit.
I imagine you living in a Studio 54 replica. Why is that?
Because it's true :jum:
What do you want me to ask you and what would you answer to it?
"What do you want me to ask" is a question, and my answer would be: what is it that you rrrrreaallly want to know?

Hi Willie!

1. What makes you so silly? You're very witty and I like that you come from Plotville! Have you always been so funny?
2. Do you like living in the Netherlands and do you ever go out to play in the Red Light District in Amsterdam?
3. Have you ever been to Efteling amusement park?

Thank you!

What makes you so silly?
Must be something in our marihuana.
Do you like living in the Netherlands
It's a bit flat but I really appreciate the freedom and neutrality. Life's become a bit expensive, with pumping all that money in the EU and whatnot. Is the EU really European or have we been bought by Barnes Global?
do you ever go out to play in the Red Light District in Amsterdam?
I don't think I've ever been there but the whole Adult Industry fascinates me. There must be so many great stories to tell.
Have you ever been to Efteling amusement park?
Yes, many times. I love it!

Willie you stipulated in Abby Dalton's death thread, about Julia returning in the 7th season cliffhanger. I think this would have been a terrific idea, with the benefit of hindsight. The character being an original was needed so much in season 8 and 9, as Melissa and Maggie departed. I understand your viewpoint about how Julia didn't contribute all that much, after season 3. However I was glad to see her comeback to the vineyards literally in season 4, albeit with a far fetched explanation.

Two questions: If Julia hadn't escaped the springhouse where do you think she would have been for four seasons, until her encounter with the bearded man in 1988?

Could Julia have been the one who was at the top of the 13, together with Rosemont and conspired with him to destroy Richard, in a new twist of jealousy because he was now a fully fledged Channing?

If she hadn't escaped she would have died in the fire, or do you mean if that particular scene had never happened at all?
If she had gotten any help then I'd like that person to be Pamela Lynch (for a personal backup plan that had yet to be revealed) except that she was kidnapped in those last episodes, I think? Unless that turned out to be nothing but a smokescreen! Haha.

Or maybe she double-crossed The 13. If she was going to stay for the last two seasons then there had to be an element of redemption (pretty much how they did it in season 4) only to change her mind again in the last episode and nuke the entire Valley in a spectacular final scene.
I still like the idea of vengeful Chase's surprise return when Angela is delivering her "good ol' days" speech and strangle her just before the Big Bang.
Maybe he's in cahoots with Julia, but Angela deserves a more personal treatment - but not before he informs her that, within a few minutes, the Valley including her precious Falcon Crest will cease to exist. Just like his Californian Dream all those years ago.

Epilogue scene: South-Africa. An unknown man enters a luxurious office.
"It's done".

(obviously, that man wouldn't be Richard).

My apologies I didn't explain the first question correctly. I would have still wanted the springhouse fire to have happened because of the powerful discussion with Angela and the family would've still believed Julia had died. However she did escape through the false floor and instead of her spooky return went off to find herself. Or as you suggested Pamela Lynch used her for some elaborate plan, between season 4 and the season 7 cliffhanger. If I'm understanding you correctly.

All great episodes. I also loved the camping one when they found the poison ivy. So hilarious! :llooll:
