I just bought the first and the second season of the Dutch longest running day time soap "Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden" (Good Times Bad Times) on dvd. ;)

Season 1 (1990-1991) 195 episodes on 20 dvd's

Season 2 (1991-1992) 185 episodes on 20 dvd's

Did the math dividing 195 by 20, and then 185 by 20, and it would seem that each of these releases has 9-10 episodes per disc.

Yes that's right, every dvd contains about 9 to 10 episodes, 1 episode has a duration of about 25 minutes. I've heard from other people who also bought this series, the beginning of the first 4 seasons the picture quality is not so good, but the later seasons the picture quality is much better, the later seasons contains 22 dvd's.

I loved this, back in the day when Nicole Kidman was so pretty and botox free. I loved her hair and colour back then

It was a great story, wvery well casted and Denholm Elliott and Hugo Weaving were great
I loved the ending when she is going tho customs and Airport security says who are you and Denholm Elliott replies
Im her father! Kleenex moment.

Not exactly entirely complete, but as complete as can be for a series of this vintage: Timeless' 2011 release of Medic, a 1954-56 NBC medical series w/the late Richard Boone as Dr. Konrad Styner (59 episodes were made of that NBC medical series, but only 44 survived and circulate; those 44 are contained in this 6-disc release)

I was triple blessed since the delivery was scheduled for Monday, and it was delivered by the sexy TNT courier who also delivers parcels at my workplace.
He seemed pleasantly surprised when I opened the door, and when we said goodbye there was an awkward moment of hesitation and now I feel I should have invited him in.
Complete, eh? No. It isn’t. Not without this! An episode discovered after the Complete Collection had been released! Enjoy your incomplete collection!

I found a complete Columbo set yesterday. Still sealed. Underneath a complete set of Space Patrol. And obscuring complete sets of Space Precinct (starring Ted Shackelford), The Sweeney, The Professionals, Special Branch (ooh! Stephanie Beacham played a Hollywood actress in that!), The Addams Family and Pennies From Heaven. I vaguely recall getting Columbo to stop me recording Columbo every time that Columbo was on and to keep them all in one place.

I'm intrigued. What is it?

It's a send-up of working class northern dramas of the Seventies, but also of soaps in general. Lots of silly cliffhangers and whatnot. Kind of like the sitcom Soap, but with a period setting and Lancashire accents.

I love how the opening titles comically use the Dallas font for the logo:

Then there's the alcoholic wife of the tyrant:

It's even got its own Fallon on horseback character:

I am hoping it's as funny as I remember. I used to watch it late night when I was young. I mean I was probably 12? Maybe a little older or a little younger, but I can remember finding it hysterical. I just always found him funny.

I don't remember there being that many suspects! I would have said maybe 10-13 suspects.

But yes, very much inspired by And Then There Were None.
I also don't remember there being 25 suspects. I am suspecting that promo is just actually the full cast and they are going with "Anyone could have done it" but then more murders keep happening and so the cast is whittled down and the serious suspects are few. Looking at that I don't really remember many of them. A part from Carl from Desperate Housewives and a guy from Popular or Roswell? I don't remember which. There are probably a lot of actors that went on to have big parts on other shows but never achieved major stardom. I remember at the time I was watching this that I was sharing a flat with my cousin and I was also engrossed in a storyline on Eastenders where Denise's husband was also a serial killer. Good times.

It's a while since I've watched, but I can remember watching the film and the TV versions of Up Pompeii and really enjoying one while finding the other disappointing.

I just can't remember which way round it was.

And my expectations were probably unrealistically high.

And I was possibly having a bad day.

As for I, Claudius (which is much better than Pompeii) I'd recommend to watch it regularly since it's a very complex family construction with many characters.
A signifcant interval could make it a little difficult to follow the plot and who's who and why.
But don't let that put you off, it's a fantastic series with one of the (if not THE) greatest villainesses in the history of TV drama.
