Yes it does make senseNever. Can’t stand it, although I do love peanut butter chocolate if that makes any sense at all LOL
Oh heck, I think we all think the worse when something big is about to happen, so you are not alone with feeling this way my friend. I guess its highly emotional when something so scary is going to happen and its out of our hands, yet we know we still have to get through it, if this makes any sense?. I couldn’t describe my emotions that week if I tried. I remember making my last delivery the day before surgery and sitting in front of this house crying for a few minutes, wondering if it was the last delivery I would ever make. I was also sitting there hoping they didn’t have any cameras catching me crying.
It sounds to me like she chose the exact right time to let you knowAnd I remember later that day going to the hospital for the dreaded pre-op visit. That wasn’t fun, and as I’m walking all depressed back to my car I get a text from my arch nemesis at work, the girl who pranked me but somehow lived to tell about it. And she texts me just three words, the nicest three words in the English language that you can say to someone. So now I’m crying again like when I was in front of that last house and I texted her back that these three little words better not be another prank cause I’m really not in the mood for her games right now. Her response, although I can’t repeat it here, did a good job of convincing me she meant what she said. So it was a very emotional week.
That's wonderful. I know this sounds daft, but don't you find it amazing that we can sleep right through a big operation? its so clever how the anaesthetic works and of course the skills of the surgeons, not forgetting the anesthetist who keeps us alive. The best part though was waking up in the hospital after it was all over and hearing that nurse punching her computer keys. That’s the first thing I remember hearing when I woke up. It’s such a normal sound but it’s become one of my favorites since then because it was the first thing I heard, followed by her telling me that it’s all over and I’m gonna be fine.
I can just imagine your huge relief to know you'd woken up and it was all sorted.
Lol! .. With me it all depends on what mood I'm in and what subject is being discussed.. I avoid meetings whenever possible for the most part, or I just stand way in the back so I will not get noticed. Hiding behind bigger people than me or women with a lot of hair also helps I notice.
Usually I prefer to melt into the background, but if its something I have a strong opinion about then I will speak up. Although, in my experience most meetings tend to be mundane with the same vocal people doing all the talking. In my last job we had meetings for meetings, a lot of them were a huge waste of time.
Do you get a choice if to attend work meetings or are they mandatory?
, he is still alive in May, this is incredible.
We all reply when we feel like it and I love how we don't have to immediately reply if time is short or if we've got busy elsewhere on other threads.

I'm nearing my limit on orchids. I have received several over the past few months from the grocery store lady. Most has wilted from lack of water but most revived after a watering. I'll have to share a photo of my newest soon. I am at the point I have to just take in the ones that have lost their entire flowers and are destined for the trash bin .. or I find a larger place to keep them. I hate seeing them lose their lived because no one would buy them.

... don't you let us scare you away
