Biden has called us garbage
What is a more appropriate word to describe people who defend a rapist and attack his victims? What would you call people who laugh and cheer racist, misogynist and homophobic jokes? What is a better term to use for people who try to undermine a democratic vote and instead try to use violence to achieve their preferred election outcome?

Not every Trump supporter is a problematic stereotype. That would be like saying all Biden supporters are garbage because their candidate is enabling a violent genocide and was accused of raping Tara Reade. Coincidentally, some Biden supporters have defended the accused rapist and attacked his accuser. Even so, I would never make a broad generalization of Biden supporters because doing so would be irresponsible. Trump, Biden, and Harris all attract their own cult following, but they also attract support from people looking to mitigate the harm being done. Both sides make their own calculation as to who the "lesser of two evils" is, which is difficult since Biden, Harris, and Trump are all morally dubious. Unfortunately, these are our "viable" choices.

As the saying goes, people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Like Biden, I wasn't referring to all Trump supporters but specific groups within his support base. I think it's fair comment to call people garbage if they defend someone who a court found liable for rape and downplay the experience of his victim. I also think it is fair comment to call someone garbage if they laugh, cheer, encourage and defend racist, homophobic and misogynist jokes.

Biden wasn't specific. He said, "The only garbage I see out there are his supporters."

I don't think someone is garbage if they're unsure of the validity of rape allegations from decades ago. People can be wrongfully convicted (I'm not saying Trump was, but it can certainly happen.) This isn't a one-sided issue for me, which is why I have the same uncertainty when it comes to the rape accusation Tara Reade made against Biden. However, some Biden supporters believe that Trump is a rapist while believing Biden's accuser is a liar.

As for the comic at the Trump rally, I've heard he roasts everybody like Don Rickles did. I only heard the "joke" about Puerto Rico, which was rather hacky.

Now Julia Roberts has made a fool of herself by narrating that ridiculous and offensive ad that women are too stupid to know that we can vote for anyone that we damn well please, Biden has called us garbage, and Mark Cuban has said that we're not strong and intelligent. We're all supposed to all good little clueless Handmaiden one issue robots who tow the Roe the vote for Kammie line. You can't make this stuff up.
Michelle Obama, who I once thought I liked, said the other day in a speech that men need to put aside their "rage" and do right by their women in their voting choices. She made a big point of it.

But a couple of years ago, Michelle said, "Sometimes we women are too nice to our men."
Democrats presuppose that women are captives of their husbands. Ironically, the solution is to lie to their husbands and vote the way Dems tell them too.

And yes, why is Roe the one issue being bashed over our heads? Do they really believe that's the most pressing issue of our time? Even messaging targeted at men amounts to "vote for Harris if you don't want to be labeled a racist, misogynistic a-hole." If that won't get men to fall in line, what will?

All I know is I'm tired of their condescending attitude towards men and their infantilizing of women. It just goes to show how desperate they've become.

If Biden was found liable for rape, I wouldn't be defending him, I would be condemning him and I wouldn't try to downplay it by saying "what about [insert name here] ?

If you defend a rapist and try to undermine his victim then don't get upset if someone calls you garbage. If you support a violent insurrection and try to undermine democracy then don't clutch your pearls if someone calls you garbage. If you laugh, cheer and encourage bigoted jokes the don't get annoyed if someone call you garbage. However, if you support Trump, you are wrong and misguided. There is a difference.

Do you know what it means to actually defend a person accused of rape? It means to unequivocally proclaim their innocence. Have I done that with Trump? Absolutely not. Likewise, I never said that his accuser is lying. I'm simply pointing out that these decades-old cases are difficult to prove, and the justice system gets it wrong sometimes. That doesn't mean Trump is innocent, or that Biden is guilty. If anything, I'm saying there's a level of uncertainty.

I feel that's a fair position, and not one that makes someone garbage. Also, while I do admit that some Trump supporters share his more odious views, Biden and Harris have such supporters as well. I'm talking about those who support funding a violent genocide, undermining democracy by installing a presidential nominee without a single vote from the public, the misandrist bashing of men, and the infantilizing of women. That's not what I call "joy."

I agree historical allegations of rape are extremely difficult to prove which suggests to me that E. Jean Carroll had a particularly strong case against Trump. However, I didn't sit through the entire court case and examine all the evidence so I'm not going to dismiss the work the jury did without additional evidence to suggest they got it wrong.

Trump will be even more supportive of Israel's extermination of Palestinians than the Biden administration and he claims no one has been a stronger supporter of that genocidal nation than he has been. So good luck with thinking another Trump Presidency will be better for Palestine.

I find it ironic that we are now parsing the words of a man who was forced to drop out of the race because we didn't believe that he knew what he was saying.

I wasn't in the court room or privy to the evidence either. That's precisely why I'm neutral towards the jury's decision, rather than dismissive of it.

The fact that "historical allegations of rape are extremely difficult to prove" is also why I'm neutral on the subject. Humans aren't infallible either.

When have I ever said that a Trump presidency would be "better" for Palestine? Genocide is genocide, and it will continue no matter who is president.

My bet is that bitter Dr. Jill logged him on to Zoom and scripted the whole thing, it was deliberate sabatauge in retaliation for the coo. The Dems are scrambling to desperately and pathetically convince everyone to lie to each other, women are supposed to lie to men, and men are supposed to lie to their friends.

Biden's accuser was far more convincing than the Dem's absurd attack on Justice Kavanaugh. Kavanaugh is far too conservative for my tastes and I do not want him on the Supreme Court -- but the assault on him by the Democrats regarding those bogus rape allegations stunk to high heaven.

In contrast, the much more credible accusations against Biden were ignored by the Dems and the media who serve them, the accuser driven out of the country.

The truth matters. And the truth regarding rape isn't always on the side of one's own political party -- but some people think it is. Or don't care what the truth is.

Have I done that with Trump? Absolutely not. Likewise, I never said that his accuser is lying.

Oh, I am. I assumed for years the department store rape victim was telling the truth -- until I saw her reaction in the media the day she won her first suit against Trump.

Sometimes Republicans are innocent and sometimes Democrats are guilty. And I've been a liberal Democrat my entire live.

So why, when my politics haven't changed, do I now hate both parties??

Yes, and now Harris is forced to do damage control. Harris said that she "strongly disagrees with any criticism of people based on who they vote for."

The Dems are scrambling to desperately and pathetically convince everyone to lie to each other, women are supposed to lie to men, and men are supposed to lie to their friends.
Yes. Again, it shows how little they think of men and women.

Not surprisingly, they also think very little of the truth. If you have to lie to your loved ones about your politics, you must not have a healthy relationship.

What do all the Trump apologists and whataboutery advocates think about Trump saying Liz Cheney should be taken out ant shot? The guy is unhinged and dangerous and should be in prison for violating the terms of his bail.

I got the same vibe as you, but I'm trying to be magnanimous since I'm not 100% sure. Of course, that doesn't get you very far with partisan hacks.

My politics haven't really changed either. I think what changed is the Democratic Party's shift towards identity politics. They also don't bother pretending to be anti-war, pro-worker, or pro-social safety nets anymore. They've embraced neocons and shunned left-wing populists. If they didn't have Trump to run against for the last nine years, they would be completely adrift. Even Trump isn't guaranteed to secure them a win, as Harris is awful in her own right.

That's an ironic comment coming from a Biden/Harris apologist. Some of the people you're calling "Trump apologists" aren't even voting for him!

You must be a "whataboutery advocate" too, considering you just did the same thing. But getting to your question, of course Trump's violent rhetoric is abhorrent. I despise war hawks like Liz Cheney, but I don't believe in advocating more violence. You mistake objectivity with a blanket defense of Trump.

There is a big difference between an unproven allegation and a case in which the jury found Trump to be liable of rape and for the judge to say the allegation that he raped E Jean Carroll is "substantially true".

Maybe I am sometimes a whataboutery advocate but I don't repeatedly attack one side, consistently defend the other and claim to be objective.

Whether in a court of law or the court of public opinion, the presumed guilt or innocence of the accused rests in the hands of imperfect humans.

Sometimes juries get it right, and sometimes they get it wrong. Most of us put our trust in the system because it's all we have, but it's not infallible.

The fact that E. Jean Carroll's allegation against Trump allegedly occurred 27 years prior doesn't help matters.

Maybe I am sometimes a whataboutery advocate but I don't repeatedly attack one side, consistently defend the other and claim to be objective.
I just said that Trump's remark about wanting Liz Cheney shot is abhorrent, and you still accuse me of defending Trump and not being objective.

It's a good thing you don't claim to be objective because you certainly aren't. "Attacking one side and consistently defending the other" is your schtick.

If you possessed basic reading comprehension skills and were capable of reading between the lines, you'd see that I hold Trump to the same standard as the Democrats. I've made it perfectly clear that I'm not voting for Trump or Harris because they're both genocide enablers who do the bidding of Wall Street, the fossil fuel industry, and wealthy elites. I believe they both contribute to income inequality, and they both use the border as a political football.

I've stated all of that both directly and indirectly many times. Let me know how any of that is a "one-sided attack" of Harris or a "defense" of Trump.

Cardi B endorsed Kamala Harris at a rally in Wisconsin on Friday.

Several years ago, Cardi admitted to drugging and robbing men when she worked as a stripper. That didn't stop Harris from embracing her and trotting her out on stage.

If people believe a jury can determine that Trump raped a woman 27 years prior, then surely Cardi B's own admission is enough to make Harris's embrace of her repulsive.

Or could it be that "Harris apologists" don't care who supports her. After all, they also believe Harris's embrace of war monger Dick Cheney is a good thing.

Has she been found guilty or liable of any crime in a court of law or doesn't the principle of innocent until proven guilty not apply to people who support Kamala? Welcome to what justice will be like if Trump wins again.
