I’m doing okay Lashes. I had a very nice holiday weekend. I threw the diet out the window for a couple of days and I’m glad I did. I hope you enjoyed the weekend as well?Hi DFF how are you?![]()
It’s something we’re never going to forget, let’s face it. I think comparing it to a science fiction movie is about the best comparison I’ve heard cause that’s what it felt like.Yes it was a very scary time, very weird too, I still can't believe we all went through that, it was like living in a science fiction movie .. well it was to me. Everything felt wrong, unreal and as you say scary.
Oh good! I’m glad you enjoyed that one. I almost died laughing myself when you pushed me off that cliff. That was hilarious!! I really appreciate that kind of humor. Or perhaps it wasn’t humor and you just wanted your crown back but I still laughed nonetheless. No I didn't give you a choice and you made me laugh out loud by saying in another thread how I tried to murder you by pushing you off a cliff...
Thank you for saying that my friend! I meant every word of it. I don’t care if my posts count or don’t count or if my name never makes the list. I just love being here. It’s fun and I honestly never get tired of it.and I have to say that was also a very lovely post from you.
Ironic, isn’t it Lashes? You push me off a cliff to my death yet here I am helping you bury the thread so you can keep your crown. I guess one can never say DFF isn’t gracious.I'm busy working on this  my aim is to get the thread over to page three ..Lol!
There’s always a special feeling for that first car. Mine was a pile of useless metal that everyone else would laugh at but I didn’t care. That car with the Spider was my first car, it was a pile of junk reallybut to me back then I couldn't have loved it more.,
Obviously you loved this car very much! I bet you couldn’t wait for the summer months LOL!!I found it an adventure to drive that car during the winter ... although it was more of a challenge with all the windows misted over and I always wore a big coat and scarf to try and keep warm
Now, did the second car make you forget all about the first one once you got in it? I’m hoping this one had heat? When I'd finished with it and moved onto a better car I sold it for scrap and got back what I actually paid for it..Lol!
This all reminds me of my first car. It was a 1983 Chrysler Lebaron. I bought it in 1991 from my grandparents. It was electric blue with red and green stripes and it had my initials on the side. It was, well, it was pretty ugly to be honest but I didn’t care. I was 16 and I finally had a car. That was all that mattered. I had that car about 6 years. Eventually the floor rotted out on the drivers side and I noticed one day I could see the street underneath my feet as I’m driving. This should’ve been a pretty good indication that it was time for a new car. But I kept driving it. Everyone was telling me to get rid of it. “You have no floor,” they would say. Picture the Flinstones with their feet hanging out the bottom of the car and you get the idea. Rain was a challenge, but I was young and stubborn and I just kept driving it until one day I had finally had enough.
My second car had a floor, and that was a nice feature. I embraced the new car but I missed my junk box. I think about that car a lot and how I should’ve gotten rid of it sooner but I just couldn’t do it. It meant too much to me, lack of a floor and all. It was my first car, so I can relate to how you felt about your igloo, oops, I mean first car.
Oh, it appeals, it appeals. Look, at this point I have to accept the fact that playing professionally probably isn’t going to happen LOL, so yes I would go into coaching if the opportunity ever presented itself. Of course, nothing is guaranteed and I can’t expect my nephew to hire just anyone off the street when there are people working in those organizations already that are waiting years for a chance at those jobs. Watching him get into sports the way he is right now at such a young age and living out his dream is good enough for me. It makes me realize that my dream isn’t dead. It’s just living through him now. Maybe that’s the way it was supposed to go all along, who knows?Would you like to be coach? or does this not appeal?
Unfortunately I’ve seen this happen way too many times over here. And here we are again, about to go right back into hurricane season. I would imagine that losing your home and losing everything with it has to be the next worst thing to dying in a storm. Like you say, it’s gotta make you feel lucky to have survived a natural disaster but losing everything you owned and starting over has got to be a lonely feeling. That's so true and devastating they do have to re-start their lives, it must be heartbreaking to lose your own home and have to start from scratch again. I would imagine they might feel fortunate not to have died like so many, but at the same time they have lost so much.
To tell you the truth I didn’t stick around long enough to find out what they understood. As quickly as those two tornadoes turned around and left so did DFF. Perhaps the two people who were not worried are like me and have never experienced a tornado and didn't fully understand what damage they can do?
Of course you may!DFF I have a daft question for you ... if I may...
I haven’t had it in awhile but I do like it. I love tea in general, and pretty much any kind. Cutting down on caffeine is good though. I had a soda for the first time in almost two months yesterday and it did nothing for me. So I think the less caffeine you drink the more your body is going to reject it once it gets used to not having it. That’s what I notice anyway.my latest thing is herbal tea, do you drink it or have ever tried it? I've been trying to cut down on my caffeine intake
You have a nice rest of the week my friend, and that goes for everyone else here as well!
...
but to me back then I couldn't have loved it more.,

we had a Toyota a few years ago and it was a very good car, also had a Nissan, but no Hyundai or Chrysler. We currently have an Audi which basically drives itself, oh and Mr L has a big van which I enjoy driving when I get the chance .. not so keen on parking it though.
