I was informed recently that they don’t teach cursive handwriting here anymore. Do they still teach this over there?
I believe some schools do and others don't. It is a shame as I remember I used to love hand writing,
I did a Calligraphy course a few years ago as I like fancy twirly writing. I recently wrote everyone's names on place settings for my cousins wedding recently, she too likes the twirly fancy writing
Everyone’s typing now. Who writes anymore?
On the rare occasions I do any lengthy hand writing I find my hand starts to aches ... this never used to happen before , I guess its with lack of practise.
A bit random, but are you right handed or left handed DFF? if you don't mind my usual daft nosiness
It’s been an odyssey. I dozed off about 10 last night and then I woke up 3:30 this morning so I started writing. And I had to be at work at 6:30, which was very frustrating. I wanted to stay home and write but that’s the problem I keep running into.
I imagine that must be very frustrating, especially when you've got into
the-zone and don't want to stop.
It just started one day out of nowhere. For a long time I wanted to write something but I didn’t know what. And then a family member made a suggestion. I told her she was nuts cause there’s no way I can do that. Obviously I was wrong.
I'm so pleased someone encouraged you to do it!

you have absolutely nothing to lose. I think its great your doing this, it would be all so easy to say .. I can't be bothered, but no, you've gone for it!
That’s the part I struggled with. She wasn’t famous so I wondered who would even care about what I’m writing. But it was a very interesting life. I still can’t believe everything that happened and I was there for about half of it. And ultimately it’s a sad story. There’s no getting around that but I think that can help people who do read it. The other thing I wondered was if I even know what I’m doing when it comes to writing. Maybe, maybe not, but I am enjoying it. It’s emotional reliving it all, but it’s also fun.
I think many people prefer real stories/biographies about genuine people and families. I've sometimes read celebrity books, but some of them can become too similar. I'm sure your words will resonate with many people who have had or are having similar experiences. Whatever you decide to do, you have a powerful message my friend
Well, if it gets published one day, and I know that’s a big if, then you will definitely get a copy my friend!
Thank you, a signed copy I hope
Well, technically you’ve already read half of it on this thread now that I think about it LOL!!!
And I've enjoyed every word, even the sad times as your love shines through.
When we first got the cameras I was petrified. I guess we all were. But honestly, after about a week I forgot it was even there. You do get used to it. They don’t bother you unless you do something really wrong. It’s impossible not to come up on a report for something. We all do, but as long as it’s not something blatantly stupid they won’t say anything to us.
I would've been paranoid too, but I guess you have to get used to it otherwise the daily pressure would be enormous. Glad to hear your management don't come down heavy for some mistakes.
I once .. no twice actually, got parking tickets whilst driving the works car, I was mortified

I had a
pain-in-the -neck line manager at that time and she made me write out a detailed report of what happened and threatened that I would have to pay the charges ... I wouldn't have minded paying because I already felt very guilty. Anyway, the manager above my line manager gave me a hug, said no way would I need to pay and to stop worrying about it.
I think we might make our 5000 goal DFF :tv2:
