How exactly would Matthew or the season 7 writers have known about that Sammy Jo trying to drive Claudia nuts plot in season 4 ?, anyway Mother Blaisdel should have joined her crazy son in “the siege”

Massacre was a dirty word after how they botched up the resolution when it was a hot number one worldwide hit.
I do feel that Rita and Joel plot was abruptly ended
Krystle could have become an alcoholic, The trial sets her off the deep end after hearing details of what happened, Joel escapes and tries to kidnap her again and Krystle kills him, stuff like that instead of having Krystle throw some clothes on the floor and visit Sammy Jo’s attic and it’s done without any PTSD at all. Krystle Carrington had absolutely nothing to do after being released out of Sammy Jo’s attic so why not and after such a ridiculous storyline that you want to get rid of, resolving it in an episode without any lasting effect on Krystle was stupid.

I don’t know who I am, neither do the viewers or the casting dept, writers, directors, wardrobe dept, stylists, H&M, anyone but you’re not Fallon Carrington Colby . Some crazy sh&t was going on behind the scenes to come up with all this crap. Invest millions in a spinoff without having the reason to spin something off in the first place (Fallon) and just use your least intriguing male actor and add someone even duller who’s all wrong for the role and British , with the addition of some has been stars since that worked in season 5 , all while neglecting the show that made it all possible
Bad decisions all around for years and years like they were trying to destroy it on purpose
Bringing Matthew back the way they did was just a continuation of it
Sammy Jo should have went to an all female prison for a season for kidnapping and became the girlfriend of that butch guard that locked up Alexis in season 4
After being released back into Denver’s high society she could have had a sophisticated tete a tete with Steven, you faggot - you bull dyke

As most folks seem to know, I'm all for Krystle slipping into alcoholism after the Singapore fiasco, Alexis taunting her over Blake's "amnesical libidinous passions" (leading Krystle to sneer, "No wonder he forgot about it!") followed by Krystle's stint as a clairvoyant healer during Season 8 -- played absolutely straight.

And, yes, Mother Blaisdel should have joined the cast as a semi-regular. DYNASTY never really had any dowager bitches (aside from Alexis, and they never did anything with Constance) despite the audience -- especially the soap audience -- liking geriatric monster moms as a rule.

It’s like they didn’t want to spoil their cash cow merchandizing money grab with forever Krystle and Carrington cheap crap by turning Krystle into a drunk and giving the actress something to do.
Linda Gray and Dallas had the balls to have Sue Ellen end up on the streets.
A love remembered was a stunt and Krystle should have caught Blake and Alexis in the shower when she found out where they were and attacked both of them in the bathroom, beating both of them with a toilet brush getting soaked trying to dismount a naked wet Blake off of a naked wet Alexis and they all fall to the floor taking down the shower curtain with them instead of wringing her hands over a convenient flat tire until Blake came to and they recreated that stupid running to each other embrace in the season 3 opener at Skycrest in the rain
She gets thrown out of the villa and ends up sharing a ripple bottle gulping it down with a bunch of dirty bums on the dark streets of a Singapore ghetto

According to the seasonal bible, Krystle was supposed to have PTSD and Sammy Jo was to used it in order to remove her as executor of Daniel's will.
We could see glimpse of it in "Souvenirs" but the rest was discarded during the retooling (yes @Willie Oleson, always this "retooling" !) because ABC wanted to move on from the Rita's plot (and from Moldavia).

As promising as the idea sounds about Sammy Jo using Krystle's PTSD to remove her as executrix of Daniel's will -- and it really does sound like a good idea, they would have found a way to make it not work.

Some of the worst Dynasty characters: Sarah Curtis, Jackie Deveraux, Nick Kimball, Dirk and Gavin Maurier...

For some, Dirk Maurier is one of the worst Dynasty characters, although I personally didn't find him all that bad. Now, the actor who played Dirk, Jon Cypher, has passed away.

Jon Cypher, who hadn't appeared on screen since 2004, played Jeff Munson in seasons 4 and 5 of Knots Landing. He also made a guest appearance in an episode of Dallas (6.11), although I do not recall his role in it.

He had something to do with taxes or permissions or something like that. His eyebrows always distracted me...
