So Guy doesn't suffer fools. Maybe the other Starlings set this one up as the patsy.A brave Starling dared to encroach on the nest, but after being given the 'death stare' by Guy it soon flew off ..

Great shot!Freedom looks literally 'on top of the world'. What a fantastic view from this nest...

I'm always struck by how serene the Eagles look as they sit on the eggs, complete contentment.

Brave indeed! The Starlings are too fast to be in any danger and Eagles don't eat small birds so all is safe for our cleaners.Meanwhile over in the other nest. (Guy and Lipstick)

Ooo yes! The first season Michelle and I watched we called Liberty and Freedoms two eagles SOAP and CHAT (our old forum name) ... at that time we were just watching the one nest.
The following year (from what I remember) sadly Liberty and Freedom didn't have any eggs, but we had also started watching Lipstick and Guy who had two eaglets which we named PEACHES and HERB.
Last year we named Liberty and Freedoms eaglet FLUFF ... the name just came naturally as he was like a little ball of fluff for a few weeks. Meanwhile Lipstick and Guy had three eagles which we named CURLY, LARRY and MO.
So I wonder what we will call this years eaglets? all suggestions will be more than welcome![]()
Oh that sounds interesting and I don't think we have any strict rules on hereJust so I know, are there any rules or similar as to what names go through for consideration? Last night I conjured up names that next level genius!
. I guess if everyone is in agreement and happy with what we call the new eaglets then that's fine. Those Starlings are really getting on Guys nerves, he was dishing out more death stares yesterday ...So Guy doesn't suffer fools. Maybe the other Starlings set this one up as the patsy.
All the 2's ,,, how clever! :bravo1: beautiful shot too Michelle, she's just dropping off asleep.Liberty on the wet nest at 2-22-22 at 2:22.

:ty:Great shot!
Its so special seeing these egg-rolls. Those big ferocious eagles are especially gentle as they tend them.I noticed an egg turning too.

This is good news indeed for our brave little cleanersBrave indeed! The Starlings are too fast to be in any danger and Eagles don't eat small birds so all is safe for our cleaners.
I can't take the credit for these, I've .. erm ... borrowed them off someone elseI do like your gif shots of the Eagles 'Lashes!
The time has gone so fastThe wait will not be much longer for the hatching of eaglets. Maybe a week or two.
Liberty and Freedom seem to have a much deeper nest this year, those eggs are well protected.A rolling of the eggs by Liberty.

Oh wow! that looks spectacular and scary all at the same time.Meanwhile on the Lipstick/Guy nest. A hawk makes an appearance near the nest.

The snow has certainly arrived. This was our mothers-to-be this afternoon.....Snow comes to the nest.

Have any names been put forward for consideration?time has gone so fast. I can't wait to see those little balls of fluff.
I haven't heard of any yet.Have any names been put forward for consideration?
I don't think the eaglets even realise they have wings for the first couple of weeks or so, they usually have huge yellow/orange feet though, which make me laugh because the feet are out of proportion to their tiny bodiesHow long does it take for the babies to fly? Will Freedom and Liberty have to teach them or is the ability innate?
.

Yes!! :hats:There seems to be a hatching on Lipstick/Guy's nest today.![]()

Nothing has happened yet. Freedom and Liberty are still keeping those two eggs warm. Here is Liberty patiently waiting ....Tomorrow, Saturday, should be the first day in the window of time for Liberty and Freedom's eggs.
Those are lovely names! If everyone else is happy then so am I.I'd like to throw into the naming hat, for consideration "Lunar" and "Celeste"
Very, very clever! My thinking goes something like.... The Eagle has landed, Armstrong said when they landed on the moon. Lunar is another word for moon.
The moon is a celestial body, so hey.... Celeste.

I have to admit I've become concerned with this nest because of their recent history of bad eggs. 2018, no hatching due to cold weather on eggs, 2019, successful with Soap and Chat, 2020, soft, bad eggs, 2021, only one hatched, Fluff.Something has finally started happening in Freedom and Liberty's nest
If you look carefully one of the eggs is starting to break...

I'm so pleased because I still remember the sad year when nothing happened for them.
Hopefully they should have a chick later today![]()

Meanwhile over in Lipstick and Guys nest...
Lunar and Celeste were beating the heck out of each other

It looks extreme, but we had this last year, I guess the eaglets are born with a natural survival instinct so this competing with each other for food makes sense, its just a bit alarming to see.
They will not be this cute for too long. I do like how the light brightens this little fellow up.This was them first thing this morning ..
![]()
Still bashing each other and they look like a couple of tiny aliens![]()
It seems #3 has hatched. Lipstick and Guy have a great success rate. They must be young. If egg number 3 hatches then that eaglet will be quite a bit smaller than these two and will need to be tough.
Yes! :gidd:It seems like Liberty and Freedom have their first eaglet of 2022.
Me too, which is why I'm extra thrilled for these two.I have to admit I've become concerned with this nest because of their recent history of bad eggs. 2018, no hatching due to cold weather on eggs, 2019, successful with Soap and Chat, 2020, soft, bad eggs, 2021, only one hatched, Fluff.
They do! :laughing:They look like 'Lashes and myself fighting for the crown of who is the hottest in the Last Post thread.![]()
Has it? Ooo I didn't know number 3 had arrived. So its like last year for Lipstick and Guy, 3 babiesIt seems #3 has hatched. Lipstick and Guy have a great success rate. They must be young.
Lunar and Celeste are a violent duo. I hope #3 will be safe.

It's so nice they are only a day apart as well. Hopefully the little one will catch-up to the older one in short order. I do feel bad when only one gets most of the food when mom/dad arrive.Yes! :gidd:
I tuned in this morning and was watching Liberty sleeping, I was just thinking how beautiful her feathers where and took a screen shot ...
![]()
and then she woke up and I was surprised to see this little ball of fluff and then it moved ...
![]()
I am so happy for Freedom and Liberty![]()
Me too, which is why I'm extra thrilled for these two.
"hello Telly-Talkers"

Poor headless fish indeed. Great image! How fantastic these wings look and how small the new baby looks ..
![]()

Right on time, at least for egg #2, egg #1 was a day or two late but in the 34-37 day window.First meal for our new arrival..
![]()
More good news! Liberty and Freedoms second egg has started to crack...
![]()
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
LOL! :floor:They do!
Lipstick and Guy have their hands full with these lively little fighters ...
![]()
Gorgeous little feet :love7:
Lipstick and Guy are great producers. This is the third year that I know they have had three eaglets.Has it? Ooo I didn't know number 3 had arrived. So its like last year for Lipstick and Guy, 3 babies![]()
They're quite vicious with each other, but I can't help smiling too, they remind me of The Muppets![]()
