The site just went down again for me for the last hour or so. The same way it used to before the longer period offline recently.

It has the habit of going on the fritz around midnight, UK-time. Not sure why, but since poor @Ome deserves to get some sleep, some of us lesser mortals on the mod team have to get out the jumper cables and give the site a jolt. 
Like you said, that was happening before the hiatus and it still occurs at times. I apologize for the interruption, but it is much easier to fix than the other situation!
