s10e05 ENIGMA. Franklin Horner's Cattleman's Bank establishing shot. I found a twitter post about this on #DEFINITIVE DALLAS, but the actual location wasn't posted. I had to jump through multiple links to track down the actual location.

I’m not sure. I haven’t had success when looking for this. I thought it was just possibly a side of the hospital we usually don’t see, but I can’t confirm that striped textured concrete wall anywhere else at Presby. It’s been remodeled and expanded so much since this episode was filmed.

Correct! Here are some pictures that correspond with the bolder and fountain. The fountain has been re-stoned and the bolder has been moved, but I love that they still are a part of the entrance area after all these years!

Look back on page 25. There are a some of other shots on hospitals. Never noticed the boulder before. Glad you picked up on that.

I have located the first hospital. It is "Medical City hospital" in Dallas at 7777 Forest Lane. The hospital has undergone major renovations since filming in 1978.Look on the "Historic Aerials" website.Click on the viewer and type in 7777 Forest Lane Dallas Texas.Look for the aerials icon and click on 1979.You can see the raised parking deck beside the hospital as seen in episode scenes.[It's now gone!]…..In looking at the google street view you can see an old section of this hospital with the masonry walls as seen in the episode.Lastly,I found this hospital by looking at a sign in the waiting room.JR is seen standing beside two signs in the room. One has "Medical City" on it!

Anyone know the location of Pam's apartment in the very first episode of Dallas..[Diggers Daughter]….

Good ask, Bill. This could be an interesting hunt. Likely Dallas, as most if not all of the first 5 were shot in Dallas.

that apartment complex and how they presented it in particular gave the scene a sense of realism you just didn’t see later in the series - so much more dimension than just an establishing shot of an apartment building on Canterbury Ave. near the LA studio (or St. or Dr. or whatever that street’s called)

So, let's see what clues we have here.

Based on experience on this thread, distance perspective is way off. The car could be 50-100 yards or more away from that far wall, and/or 50-100 yards further away from the camera or the side street being approached.

Older stone wall, with its character likely to still be there. Wall looks like it's bending on picture left, leading me to think that it's a 'T' intersection with an island on the lower part of the "T" that the car is on. Trees beyond wall make the road to me look higher then ground-level where the trees are growing. Or it's just perspective.

Looks like an island in the road, as red curb on Pammy's far left on the other side of the island tells me it's not a drive-way. Island looks unkempt...so might not be Park Cities area. Beyond the curb picture far-right center looks like more older stone wall. Is that a boulder between the curb and the wall?

On the island, a cement rounded wall with planting. May or may not still be there.

On picture left, cement or stucco wall with bushes. Fire hydrant likely still there, as piping is a pain to reroute. Car coming to side-street intersection. Triple trunk tree center has character, may still be there.

Is that a walkway or patio in picture lower left? Can't tell what that property is.

Will keep looking.

(I used to enjoy those "what's different in the two pictures" things in the newspaper)

The "elegant restaurant" I referred to on page 18 was one of my favorite shots. As jm10 also pointed out on page 18, it's in New Orleans.

I'm watching s12e26 final episode REEL LIFE, just before Cliffy get bonked on the head by Afton's ex. In the city establishing shot, there's the restaurant's building again, the white one to the right of center. I never picked that up before.

I have never noticed the sign! Good catch, Bill! Interestingly enough I made a discovery while looking at the information you shared.

So Jock is moved to Dallas Memorial and the family waits in a waiting area next to a large atrium with a row of windows across near the ceiling...

While googling info about Medical City I ran across a picture of a large atrium With a row of windows across the ceiling...

What if all of the interior filming for this episode was done at Medial City (plus the exterior scene in the emergency/ambulance area) and the Presbyterian was only used for the exterior shots at the main entrance? Not being familiar with these hospital interiors, I never gave it much thought before.
