It's been said she would have been blinded. Not sure that information comes from.
I've only ever heard that here, I don't recall reading anything like that at the time.

I was so shocked when Sue Ellen runs into JR's office then explodes.
Talk about nightmares, that certainly gave me a few!

If Sue Ellen had ended up not being able to see, Linda would have played a blinder as she always did!

I really liked their friendship this season. Perhaps a missed opportunity though in the respect that having Pam and Sue Ellen fight over Mark could’ve been a good storyline. It would’ve driven J.R. mad as well.

I know the character was over the top and was probably better suited for Dynasty at that time but I was an Angelica fan myself. Perhaps with a better storyline than the boring Marinos Shipping one she could’ve been a better fit in Dallas.
I agree, the character and story were both better suited to Dynasty.
The dream season remains a curiosity at best, at least to me.
Agreed the Pam's dream wasn't the best way for Bobby to return,
but the show looked like Dallas again for season 10, and at least parts of season 11 and 12

I disagree about Angelica belonging to "Dynasty". Actually, the only thing she missed (a great introduction) was very typical of the Spelling show, though it never could do much with their actors beyond that. They really did wonders with Angie, who did a lot of things that were usually destined to JR, maybe that´s why she is so unpopular. Actually, I think she´d rather belong to "Falcon Crest": the doppelgänger plot, her final obsession with killing her enemies, her campy outfits... Nowadays, I´m not sure if they´d cast a Nicaraguan actress to play a Greek woman, or maybe they would...

It took me some time to warm to Mark, not sure why. I can't think of anything specific and just can't put my finger on it.

Maybe he seemed, dare I say, too nice? I'm always suspicious of people who appear too nice.
But I did warm to him and like him a little bit more everytime I rewatch.

He seemed even nicer in the dream season, but then everyone was nice in that season.
Mark does grow on me the more I rewatch. I know he has his detractors for going after a married Pam but ultimately I felt he was very good to her at a time when Bobby really wasn’t. Perhaps he was a little pushy at times with trying to get her to move on and severing her ties with the Ewings but he could also be very patient with her other times.

It’s an odd season for me. There are things I love about it and there are things I don’t like about it at all. It’s like getting to see an alternative Dallas for one year before everything goes back to the way it was (for the most part). I’m thoroughly entertained by it and part of me wishes Pam could’ve kept dreaming just a little longer so we can see where it was all going to go but at the same time I’m kind of glad it didn’t continue, if that makes any sense at all.

I don't think I ever thought that she wouldn't get out of it one way or another, and then of course the mystery of Patrick's return as "?" overshadowed everything else.

I remember reading on here that she would've been blinded and in a wheel chair.
If she were to survive such a blast, which obviously Sue Ellen would have, I’m inclined to believe the wheelchair and/or blinding storyline. For her not to come out of there in dire condition for awhile would’ve been too far of a stretch considering the force of that blast.

They should've shown her getting propelled out the window with a couple of bottles of vodka!
Well, she would’ve needed it and perhaps us too.

She would've been saved.

As she's propelled out the window the TARDIS materialises in front of her and she's propelled through the open TARDIS doors.

The Doctor would've saved her life. :)

Who knows? She shot JR three times at point blank range and he was coherent almost immediately and up and about a couple of episodes later.

Who said it? Who would dare to even think such a thing?
Mind you, maybe I should congratulate them, they were obviously thinking of Linda's acting capabilities and knew she would be more than up to the job.

which obviously Sue Ellen would have,
Of course she would have, if she can survive JR for all those years then a blast out of a building would be like a walk in the park :spinning:

I’d like to think at this point in the show we still had much stronger continuity than later but unfortunately you may very well be right, let’s face it.

Sue Ellen just might’ve walked out of that cliffhanger with a new hairdo, all smiles, not a scratch on her and then returning home with shopping bags in the very next episode.

Shopping bags!

Ah yes, more bottles of vodka!

I'm on the vodka myself tonight so I'm a fine one to talk about Sue Ellen. :fp:

And JR wore a white sport jacket in the very next episode. Lol
I'm afraid I don't remember those jackets, I wonder if they shared it. Maybe it was a Miami Vice fashion trend.

I do remember Sue Ellen and Pam sharing a dressing gown in the early seasons.

I also remember JR's safari/utility jackets. He wore those loads and seasons apart.
Maybe these ones were his "abusing" jackets?

Was this the episode when he shows up at Pam’s house with the invitations for the barbecue or was that a little later? I know he’s wearing white in that scene and someone once theorized that was his way of appearing sincere because appearing dressed in white made him look almost angelic or something like that. J.R. and the word angelic in the same sentence doesn’t happen too often, if not ever, so take it all with a grain of salt.

No. It's the S7E7 "Ray's Trial" episode.

Pam really got to be unbearable by season 7. Just watched the episode "To catch a Sly." A very good episode I might add. Pam gets told off by both Mark and Bobby, and she deserved both. Later at the women's mechanical bull contest, Bobby and Jenny have a passionate kiss and Pam storms off. Then she have "revenge sex" with Mark.

Why do I say it was revenge sex? Because she earlier told Katherine that they've never made love and the day after her and Mark made love, she tells Christopher "I LIKE Mark, but he's not your daddy."

So in other words, she used Mark, a man who genuinely loves her, to get back at Bobby.

Never thought of this before, but it would have made for a good storyline if Pam would have gotten pregnant after just one night with Mark.

imagine if she’d slept with Bobby around the same time (kind of like the time they slept together while she was staying in the hotel when they were first separated) and it was unclear who the father was..

(of course, all mystery would have evaporated the instant the baby was born: did it have a mustache or a giant helmet of black hair?)
