Not if the forward thinker relentlessly attacks every value that isn't his/hers, puts the cause in a very bad light which inevitably results in a tendency to backwards thinking.
Protecting the rights of the marginalised is an ongoing process, but it must be done when and where it's needed. Not because it's fashionable.
Presentation is everything, which is what every politician should know.

Exactly this. And honestly, as the mother of a non-binary child, all this "woke" activism did way more harm to the LBGTQ+ community than good. People who identify as transgender or non-binary make up approximately one percent of the US population. Most of them want to just be left alone to live their lives as they see fit. All of this activism focused the spotlight squarely on them. Trump and the MAGAts managed to use that spotlight to generate so much hate and intolerance.

Before wokeism, my child and my family were left alone. Now, through no fault of our own, we have become public enemy number one.

Stock market crashes gut the middle class far more than they impact billionaires, who will just use the crash as an opportunity to buy more at firesale prices. I prefer to not have my entire financial stability wiped out to prove a point that won't even work.

J/K. Proving a point doesn't work if it isn't organised. It needs to be done on Union level to ensure the masses that they'll get something else (and preferably better) instead.
Logistically speaking I'm not sure if it would be possible to reroute the (obese) masses from big supermarkets and junkfood chains to charming little authentic family-owned shops and businesses. If it were me, I'd close my shop and flee to higher ground if I saw them coming.

It's not possible. I do my very best to shop local, but the economy is so bad and prices are so high I just can't afford to. If my choice is to spend $2 for a loaf of bread at Food Lion or $5 for a loaf of bread at a mom and pop grocery, I'm afraid that's not even really a choice

This breaks my heart because, to me, bread is the only sacred food item that I would never buy from a supermarket. Since last year I often eat my bread plain and dry because I don't want to spoil it with additional flavours.

It's not about intestinal fortitude, it's about survival. There's almost always too much month left after the money is gone as it is. Add to that a stock market crash that will wipe out all of mine and my husband's retirement savings (which we depend on as older, retired Americans) and we would be financially destroyed.

We don't eat fast food, not only is it unhealthy, but it is ridiculously expensive.

Perhaps it is selfish to protect my families' financial survival instead of protesting, but boycotting and protesting rarely works and as has been pointed out, stock market crashes tend to hurt people like me way more than they hurt billionaires.

I didn't say it was easy. Is it better to keep sending your family to pointless foreign wars that keep enriching the billionaires? Or letting them slaughter thousands of others for no reason?

The American booze boycott here in Canada has certainly hurt American booze conglomerates and I've never seen so many local craft brewing companies, Canadian brands, etc on the shelves instead. It's caught Trump's attention so much he threatened new 50% tariffs unless we put U.S. booze back on the shelves.

But this would clash with the principle of free enterprise.

I remember seeing a report on the Navajo Nation having very few healthy food options so are forced to rely on fast, ultra processed food or drive hundreds of miles for fresh. If course an alternative would be, to eat the diet of their ancestors but everyone is so 'busy' and their traditional hunting and crop lands were stolen.

It's similar in northern Ontario. Crazy expensive grocery store prices. So the alternative is the processed, shelf stable crap.
