Some more questions for you @Alexis Colby Carrington , if I may. This batch is all celebrity based.
  1. Who is the most famous person you've met and what did you think of them?
  2. If you could meet any famous in the world, who would you choose and what would you ask them?
  3. Who is your secret celebrity crush?
1. Victoria Beckham and Brooklyn. She was really down to Earth. I thought she was lovely. Celebrities have an expectation of what people think they need to be like. Behind closed doors I think they’re just like every day non celebrity people.
2. Wow that’s a tough question. I think I’d pick princess Diana and ask her what life in the royal family was like. They fascinate me. I’ve loved the crown.
3. Too many to mention - Ross Kemp, Mark Wright, David Beckham - they’re all very different in looks but there’s something about them - I have a thing for bald men there’s just something about them.

Hi @Alexis Colby Carrington I hope you enjoy your special week.

I see that you enjoy to cook. Do you have a favourite/signature dish?
Which music artists and type of music do you like?
Can you remember how you found your way here to TT?
What distance do you run?

and finally have you baked your own Christmas Cake? :D

Thanks.

Oh I am. I love getting to know about people. So this is great.
I make a great meat lasagne
All very stereotypical regarding music. Kylie Minogue, Tina Turner and Cher. Whitney Houston. 80s music. Queen and Meatloaf. Musical theatre. Show tunes. Dance pop. Anything you can sing along to really. That covers a lot. Not a fancy of heavy metal.
I think I was looking for something Dallas based but it was longer ago than 2018 when the forum was in its previous form. I think CBS drama were showing Dallas the first time so probably 2008-2010 and I came across the forum. I loved how you could discuss soaps and prime time shows I’d grown up with. I remember writing Dallas fan fiction about JR’s wives and girlfriends after his death.
I run anything from 5K to half marathons.
i done like anything with dried fruit it so I haven’t made my own Christmas cake. But I made these as gifts for work colleagues.

Ah-ha, another teacher. I wonder if there's a significant link between intellectualism and soap operas.

Q: What is your favourite kind of social media? (forums/twitter/instagram etc) - and why?
I think it’s a fascination with people. How they tick. From a sociology point of view they’re fascinating.
it’s just pure escapism isn’t it.
I do like forums but I’m pretty much addicted to Facebook. I like it because you can stay connected with friends and family. I’ve recently discovered Twitter. I like that because you’re limited to what you can post. Everything has to be succinct but I’ve not many followers and not said much of interest but I do like following the famous celebrities. I don’t do Instagram because I don’t think I take enough interesting photos. They’re mainly of me or the things I bake. Ha ha.

  3. Has Covid-19 changed your plans for Christmas?
1. Not being able to see family and friends.
2. Meeting up with family and friends again. I miss the social aspects of meeting for food and drinks.
3. Yes! My mum is in a different tier to me so I’ll be spending Christmas alone for the first time ever.

1. Cairo in Egypt took my breath away. I loved every minute of my visit there.
2. I went to Uganda with a friend about 10 years ago when she was teaching out there. I wanted to see what it was like. I felt very humble and extremely grateful after that visit.
3. I love Gran Canaria. It just feels like a home from home. Mogan is a beautiful place.
4. Tina Turner. Wembley. 2000. Oh my god! It was amazing!

Some more questions for you:
  1. Who is the most fascinating person you’ve met?
  2. What’s your favourite alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink?
  3. What’s the best thing that has happened to you this year?
Some more questions for you:
  1. Who is the most fascinating person you’ve met?
  2. What’s your favourite alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink?
  3. What’s the best thing that has happened to you this year?
1. A woman running a farm in Northern England. She took in my chickens when they grew in cockerels. I spent two hours with her and she told me how she rescues animals of all varieties and loves them more than humans. She had almost every animal you could think of. She was angelic. I was fascinated by her. She worked for Gucci Monday to Friday. Jetting all over the world. She couldn’t look any further from that the day I met her and she said she was happiest with no make up on the farm.
2. Favourite non alcoholic drink - Yorkshire tea, milk, no sugar. Favourite alcoholic drink. Gin and Tonic.
3. I was given a pay rise at work. 12 months early. No questions asked.

Thank you for showing a photo of the gifts you make for your work colleagues :D you're very creative.

Do you paint or draw?
Will you be cooking a full Christmas dinner this year?
Have you ever considered baking and cooking professionally as a career?
Do you make and stick to new year resolutions?

Thanks again.
1. I don’t do either but I’d love to be able to do both. I can’t do either.
2. Yes but I’m not a fan of turkey, so it’ll be beef Wellington, roast and mashed potatoes, peas, carrots, pigs in blankets, stuffing and gravy.
3. I did consider both professionally as a career and I’m toying with the idea of applying for the next series of The Great British Bake Off.
4. I never make New Years resolutions. They’re too easily broken. If you want to change something about your life, you’ll do it anyway, if you’re determined enough.

Wow! You've been to some really interesting places. I have always wanted to go to Egypt!
Uganda sounds interesting too. Did you see any wild animals during your visit there?

I am glad to hear thatTina Turner was amazing in concert. :)
Out of curiosity, have you ever been to a concert with Whitney Houston, Cher or Kylie Minogue?
