Wow! You've been to some really interesting places. I have always wanted to go to Egypt!
Uganda sounds interesting too. Did you see any wild animals during your visit there?

I am glad to hear thatTina Turner was amazing in concert. :)
Out of curiosity, have you ever been to a concert with Whitney Houston, Cher or Kylie Minogue?
Oh yes. Elephants! Yes you can see them in a zoo but my goodness in their natural environment? Wow!
Kylie Minogue - wow now that little lady, I’ve been with her since neighbours. I get emotional when I think of her, I’ve seen her 6 times since 2002. She’s my icon. I love her. I’d have to loved to have seen Whitney Houston and Cher - If it ever happens - is someone still on my list.

Above all of the four eighties' prime time soap operas DYNASTY was known for those slapping hair pulling rolling around cat fights. The majority of them were between Blake's first wife (Alexis) and his second (Krystle). However the claws were also out between Alexis and Dominique; Amanda and Sammy Jo plus Alexis and Sable, or did they just lower the tone and content verbally? It as been a while since I have watched the 9th and final season.

Time for those leading women to take a bit of a dip; possibly do a spot of painting, things could also get brown and shoulder pads may come off. So @Alexis Colby Carrington what cat fight was your favourite, from the several in DYNASTY?

I don’t think we ever see Sable and Alexis fight, only with their words and withering looks but they were amazing together. My favourite is the one in Alexis’ art room in Season 2. They really do go at it in that one and it makes for great tv. I do love the mud bath but more because Alexis calls Krystle a stupid bitch! Nothing else happens. The pond cat fight is good but again nothing much happens so yes the first one.

I feel very much the same about Kylie. Absolutely love her, I have seen her 4 times, Show Girl, X, Kiss Me Once and Golden. So you've got me beat! What shows of hers have you seen and what are some of your favourite Kylie songs and why?

Fever, Showgirl, X, Aphrodite, Kiss Me Once, Golden. Such a tough Question. I’ll try to pick one from each album to create my greatest hits!
Kylie - I should be so lucky. It’s just a great bubblegum pop song. It’s my favourite because it was the first! I’ve also heard many versions of it. It’s a classic.
Enjoy yourself - Enjoy Yourself - Album track - enjoy yourself. I like 6 songs on this album but this album track is my favourite because the lines really make me smile.
Rhythm of love - step back in time - this I’d probably my all time favourite kylie song. It’s disco. It’s got a good beat and great lyrics.
Let’s get to it - album track - I think I like it - typical 90s dance song and a beginning of the move away from manufactured pop.
Kylie Minogue - put yourself in my place - it reminds me of Christmas and I love the video
Impossible princess - album track - dreams - the words are amazing and when I heard her sing it live I was blown away.
Light Years - album track - so now goodbye - I split up with my first bf and played this repeatedly
Fever - album track - burning up - I just love the lyrics. Can’t get you out of my head is overplayed.
Body language - still standing - album track - another break up song I played a lot.
X - no more rain - album track - I love this song as I played it when my best friend recovered from cancer. It always makes me smile.
Aphrodite - All the Lovers - the video is amazing and again sung live - it makes me tingle - just a great song.
Into the blue - this is tough as it’s my least favourite album - but album track Fine is a great song that I’ve danced to a lot.
Golden - Dancing - it’s a great song but the memory makes me laugh - I told my friend I wanted this played at my funeral - listen to the words!
Disco - this was really tough as there isn’t a song I don’t like but my favourite is where does the DJ go? I love it because it really is a great song. I can’t wait to get back to normal and go out dancing to it.

Fever, Showgirl, X, Aphrodite, Kiss Me Once, Golden. Such a tough Question. I’ll try to pick one from each album to create my greatest hits!
Amazing, I would have loved to have seen Fever and Aphrodite live! They were two times in my life where it was impossible financially for me to have made it work. Since Aphrodite I have always made a Kylie tour a 100% VITAL part of my budget and allow for that overspill now. Love how detailed your favs selection is.
Kylie - I should be so lucky. It’s just a great bubblegum pop song. It’s my favourite because it was the first! I’ve also heard many versions of it. It’s a classic.
100% Agree. I swear I have said this on this forum before but the song is just a natural antidepressant. Whenever I feel defeated or awful, or just really down. Kylie has been my go to pick me up. Since 1988! It's basically my whole life and I am forever grateful to my aunt who bought me those Kylie and Jason cassettes when everyone said she shouldn't and I was too young! All these years later and Kylie's first greatest hits, pulls me out of dark times. I remember years ago hearing Kylie doing a reading of the lyrics as a poem and it really validated the song to me. It's bubblegum! Yes, but it's also more. Abbey Road shows that all her SAW songs are more than what they initially seemed.
Enjoy yourself - Enjoy Yourself -
Happiness distilled! Absolute joy!
Rhythm of love - step back in time - this I’d probably my all time favourite kylie song. It’s disco. It’s got a good beat and great lyrics.
Yes! Where I grew up it wasn't at all cool to be a Kylie fan, My aunt however kept on buying me the albums and I can remember rewinding the tape over and over and trying to sound exactly like her... Something I also did with Madonna's Immaculate Collection that my older brother bought me because my mum wouldn't buy me because we were a good Catholic family! Honestly! This shit is real.
Kylie Minogue - put yourself in my place - it reminds me of Christmas and I love the video
It's a stunning ballad. a bit '90s power pop thing that really showcases Kylies massively underrated vocals. (at that time!) PWL or Deconstruction never made her sound like that, and yet there she is on tour showing us that she's got them pipes! I don't know why but I don'
Light Years - album track - so now goodbye - I split up with my first bf and played this repeatedly
Fever - album track - burning up - I just love the lyrics. Can’t get you out of my head is overplayed.

t hold the same Christmas association, i wasn't buying my own music then! But now you mention it, it may become a new Christmas ballad fave, and join the ranks of Heartbeat by Steps.... Which just is a Christmas song to me.
Impossible princess - album track - dreams - the words are amazing and when I heard her sing it live I was blown away.
I was working at this time and was able to but my own music, and I had heard the song. However, when she blasted it out at Showgirl in Dublin in that feather gown.... On a podium. MY MIND EXPLODED. It all clicked into place and I had never heard a song so perfectly tailored to an artist... It was the beginning of her, for me, being recognised as an icon! That and the Pet Shop Boys In Denial bit blew my mind!

Light Years - album track - so now goodbye - I split up with my first bf and played this repeatedly
Fever - album track - burning up - I just love the lyrics. Can’t get you out of my head is overplayed.
Nice choices from both albums, I agree that Cant Get You Outta My Head is overplayed. My fav track from Light Years are probably not fan favourites. They are, Please Stay, a song I just think is magical. I had a smash hits song lyric card of it pinned to my mirror for many more years than I should have. It was perfect pop. Perfectly romantic pop. The kind of Kylie dance pop I love.
From Fever, my faces are Love Affair and Dancefloor. I agree, the singles from that era are overplayed as Kylie was everywhere then, not that I should complain.
Body language - still standing - album track - another break up song I played a lot.
X - no more rain - album track - I love this song as I played it when my best friend recovered from cancer. It always makes me smile.
Body Language a the time was my least fav Kylie album although I loved the album singles. Red blooded woman and Chocolate and Slow are great, and my fav song is Loving Days. X is very varied for her, my fav is The One. Everything I ever needed in a Kylie song! I also hold similar feelings about No More Rain. My bestfriend/cousin is a little younger than me, so I would always take her to Kylie shows. She got sick with cancer, she's fine now, but when she was ill we both realised we liked this song much more than we thought we did initially. Kylie giving joy from 1988!
Aphrodite - All the Lovers - the video is amazing and again sung live - it makes me tingle - just a great song.
It's pop perfection! In the same vein of maybe I Believe In You, which I also love, but all the lovers is so inclusive, and so loving and embracing. So hopeful! She cemented herself as a pop Goddess around this time!
Into the blue - this is tough as it’s my least favourite album - but album track Fine is a great song that I’ve danced to a lot.
Get's a lot of flack because a lot of people hated the album. I loved Into The Blue. It was Kylie but grown up! I also love Fine, weirdly reminds me of Kate Bush! Sleeping With The Enemy from the Deluxe is stunning.
Golden - Dancing - it’s a great song but the memory makes me laugh - I told my friend I wanted this played at my funeral - listen to the words!
Yes! The song is so much more than it appears to be. Not just about being delighted to go out and be dancing with your friends... But also about being able to go out dancing... Then end. Stunning, underrated, not fully understood! Queen!
Disco - this was really tough as there isn’t a song I don’t like but my favourite is where does the DJ go? I love it because it really is a great song. I can’t wait to get back to normal and go out dancing to it.
I loved Disco on first few listens and then I have to admit I neglected it for Steps album when it came out. Disco is great though. I loved Say Something which gives me all kinds of Queen Radio Gaga realness, and I love Magic, which is honestly just an homage to Barry White's Love Theme even if NOBODY picked up on it. For me though the highlight of the album is Supernova. The camptastic ludicrousness of it could only have been achieved by Kylie. Dua Lipa maybe regurgitated Kylie's Fever but she never would have had the wit or balls or initiative to record Supernova.
Kylie and her Alien sidekick gesticulating and speculating over her new alien love god in '70s amazingness, while getting operatic on those Adlibs! NEVER at any point in my life did I need this more than now.
Real Groove is also effortlessly stunning.

I think I think of Put Yourself In My Place as a Christmas song because it was released in mid November.
I fell in love with Dreams at the Showgirl Tour also - that gown and the way she sang the song - wow! Yes she's definitely an icon.

I love Please Stay also as a song, it's one I don't skip, I find that her hits are really good song choices but I'm drawn to her album tracks also, such good songs.
Sleeping with the Enemy from Into the Blue is an amazing song. I agree with you there.
Dancing - I love to dance - my interpretation of the line ' when I go out, I wanna go out dancing' is the literal of course, but I want it played at my funeral, when I go out, when I die, I wanna go out dancing.
Barry White's Love theme I recognised in Magic straight away, lots of my friends didn't get it. I love Supernova, when that track comes on and I'm running, it makes me run faster - did you watch Infinite Disco? It was so good performed there. Real Groove was my first love on the album and then I heard Where does the DJ go? and it blew me away!

Thanks for answering my questions. I wish I could have seen Whitney Houston in concert. I still want to see Kylie if I get a chance to.
I saw Cher last year. She was fantastic! :danc:
So if she ever does another "farewell" tour go see her if you can. She won't disappoint!
