The son of CIA operative E Howard Hunt goes into his father's career, his role in the assassination, his mother's doomed 1972 flight 553 dubbed "The Watergate Crash" and other things -- it's worth a listen... although it's about 53 minutes:

The death of JFK and Dorothy Hunt, wife of E. Howard Hunt. - YouTube

Dorothy Hunt's children never forgave their father for what happened, as he was blackmailing Nixon's White House (Nixon's word, not mine) and Hunt took out flight insurance on his wife just before the crash. And the plane's black box wasn't working. And there were 12 other people on the flight connected to Watergate which is why it's been nicknamed "The Watergate Crash" ever since. And mysterious "agents" descended on the crash site before emergency personnel could even get there... Official statements about "no sabotage" can't be trusted -- obviously... The pilots deserve to have their records cleared of blame for this crash.

Strange things were going on in the fall of '72 after Nixon won re-election, including the highly-suspicious, ghastly Rault Center fire in New Orleans, a disaster in a high-rise owned by perhaps the only oil man in the country who'd supported and funded Jim Garrison's investigation into the assassination (he was there when the fire happened, and several women died, burning or falling to their deaths).

Anybody ever heard of the Skeleton Key to the Gemstone File?

Among many other things, it alleges that Aristotle Onassis ordered the assassination of JFK and, in Greek tradition, married his victim's wife, that wretchedly unhappy woman, Jacqueline Kennedy. (Some of the multitudinous details within the file have actually turned out to be true -- so who knows about the rest of it?) He later had Bobby Kennedy killed, too, supposedly. And Onassis had Howard Hughes under his control for the later years of Hughes' life.

Happy reading!!

It was recently revealed in one of the Dallas threads that one of the stray bullets which grazed Bobby's temple went out the window & hit JFK again! :D

David Wolper's 1964 documentary about the assassination, and perhaps the best of its type. An affecting period piece, it's a product of its immediate era.

While it's just a compilation of footage and doesn't address anything controversial (e.g., Oswald is presumed "guilty" which they still do even today) it's a poignant time capsule, with its noble-tragic tone -- managing to be touchingly doom-riddled and yet somehow ice cold.

It couldn't be anything else.

Conspiracy one-stop shopping: the son of infamous CIA operative E. Howard Hunt discusses the JFK assassination, Watergate, and the crash of Flight 553 which killed his mother:

Hunt records for his son in 2004 a confession of his complicity in the assassination (he died in 2007):

I just tend (or like) to assume Joan Crawford had something to do with the JFK assassination, at least peripherally -- even daughter Christina has almost seemed to hint at it.

It just fits Joan Crawford's Lady Dracula persona and simply must be considered.

Crawford in Dallas the day before the assassination:

There was the assassination eve party at the Murchison mansion where LBJ's mistress (Madeleine Duncan Brown) insisted the Nixon and J Edgar Hoover and a bunch of oil guys were there, when LBJ showed up unexpectedly around 11pm and then all the important men grimly disappeared into the conference room and emerged about 15 minutes later, the vice president telling his mistress that after tomorrow, those "g** d*** Kennedys" will never embarrass him again.

There were attempts (as there always are) to invalidate the story, witnesses claiming that Nixon was in town -- with Joan Crawford for a Pepsi bottlers convention -- and at a Dallas hotel where comedian Robert Clary was doing a show the same night as the Murchison soiree, whereupon he referred to Nixon (who came in later with Crawford) by name. So Nixon supposedly couldn't have been at the party. But others at the party, like reporter Helen Thomas, signed an affidavit verifying who was in attendance, and it aligned with what LBJ's mistress had said.

I've found no evidence that Joan Crawford attended the Murchison gathering with Nixon, but I'm hopeful.

The next morning, as the presidential motorcade passed thru downtown Dallas, Crawford emerged from a seminar onto the sidewalk, a reporter asking if Crawford was going to the Trade Mart to catch Kennedy's lunchtime speech; Joan said no, she didn't think so.

Nixon and Crawford reportedly taunted JFK in the local press that morning regarding his use of the protective bubble top on the limousine, allegedly stating that they never need such devices.

Many in the intel community blamed Kennedy for not supplying military air cover during the Bay of Pigs fiasco of April 1961 and for negotiating a peaceful end to the Cuban Missile Crisis in October 1962, as the mob's casinos (and legit businesses like Pepsi-Cola, which had a plant there) lost untold millions when Castro nationalized everything after taking over the country in 1959. Pepsi's politics from the period need to be looked at very carefully.

And Joan Crawford was a social buddy with celebrated reporter Dorothy Kilgallen, tooling around from upscale bar to upscale bar, including when Kilgallen was investigating the assassination; Dorothy got the only jailhouse interview with Jack Ruby, and was found quite dead of a drug overdose in her Manhattan apartment under circumstances at least as suspicious as those surrounding Marilyn Monroe's death (which Kilgallen had written about with circumspect caution) from three years before.

Kilgallen died on 8 November 1965, only hours before the most infamous NYC black-out (a black-out dramatized four years later in the pilot episode of NIGHT GALLERY starring none other than Joan Crawford).

Some of Kilgallen's highly-secretive reporting into the assassination was beginning to leak, and it's been theorized that Crawford may have had loose lips. And it should also be noted that when Kilgallen's hairdresser discovered her dead body, the police found upon arriving at the crime scene that Joan Crawford was already there (with no explanation as to how!) The butler's daughter said "government agents" showed up and carried off "boxes of Dorothy's documents and papers" long before the police appeared.

When Kilgallen died, Jack Ruby's lawyer, Melvin Belli, said: "If they've killed Dorothy, they'll go after Ruby!" And within less than 14 months, Ruby was dead of a spontaneous cancer, just before his murder conviction appeal.

When Crawford herself died in May 1977, she had only two framed photos in her NYC apartment ... one of Barbara Stanwyck, and one of President Kennedy (was it a hunting trophy??)

January 1964: Kilgallen goes on the road with Joan Crawford for the opening of STRAIT-JACKET...

Hmmmm... it looks like the CIA may be inching towards the concession that the agency was involved in the assassination, but intent on reining it in to "rogue" agents without agency approval or involvement. Given this "former" agent's comments.

BTW:
JFK fired Dulles not Helms. In 1995, a form was revealed, signed by CIA Director McCone, written the weekend of the assassination, which described Oswald as an "asset" -- which means he worked for the agency. It was not a "small handful of men."

And how could national security be served by keeping the details secret for 60 years?? The assassination of JFK has acted as a sword of Damocles hovering over the heads of all subsequent presidents to keep them in line and controlled. THAT'S why the secret cannot be revealed.

Remember these words from the late, great Walter Cronkite that set off what would change a nation on that day?

Walter Cronkite, CBS News, ringing in on a live ATWT, Friday, Nov. 22, 1963, over a CBS News Bulletin title image (audio only): "Here is a Bulletin from CBS News. In Dallas, Texas, 3 shots were fired at President Kennedy's motorcade in downtown Dallas; the first reports say that President Kennedy has been seriously wounded by this shooting."

(Sound of scripts plopping down in front of Cronkite; that's what it sounds like to me)

Cronkite: "More details just arrived-- these details about the same as previously. President Kennedy shot today just as his motorcade left downtown Dallas; Mrs. Kennedy jumped up and grabbed Mr. Kennedy. She called 'Oh, no'; the motorcade sped on. United Press says that the wounds for President Kennedy perhaps could be fatal. Repeating, a Bulletin from CBS News-- President Kennedy has been shot by a would-be assassin in Dallas, Texas. Stay tuned to CBS News for further details."

Well, here's my very indirect claim to JFK fame:

In February 1962, my uncle, in the air force and on leave/layover/vacation with three of his pals, was making the rounds in Dallas' dive bar enclave. Inebriated and in fatigues, they wound up in The Carousel Club and Jack Ruby (who always loved a man in uniform) took a shine to the four servicemen and guided them into the labyrinthed bowel of halls behind the club to show them his own old service curios and mementos.

My uncle, only 22, drunk and sassy, had the temerity to call Ruby "a shrimp," resulting in Ruby pulling a revolver on him.

No one died. At least not then.

I've since learned that Jack Ruby had a known pattern of pulling guns on people quite frequently, due in all probability to his amphetamine addiction (created by his efforts to keep his weight down) and general homo-defensive neurosis. So that made him the likeliest culprit to be handed the job of knocking off Oswald, whom Ruby had known since Lee was a boy.

21 months after the incident with my uncle, he and my aunt were sitting in the cedar paneled den downstairs (later the billiard room) at my grandparents' new house in the suburbs when they saw, on live-TV, Lee Oswald get shot. When the identity of the alleged-assassin's assassin began to circulate shortly thereafter, my uncle was stunned: it was the same man who'd pulled a gun on him nearly two years earlier.

What astonished me was that I was never told this story for half a century. In 2013, when my aunt and uncle were making their annual rounds to visit relatives in all corners of the country, the subject of Ruby came up for the first time (at least, that I'd ever heard). And even then, my aunt was trying to hush him up -- as if the CIA was going to crash through the ceiling and kill us all.

This video purports an "assassination conspiracy" in the 1999 plane crash death of JFK Jr., so its conclusion should obviously be taken with a grain of salt (over the shoulder) but some of the information, historical and otherwise, discussed is actually worth a listen...

And Youtube has long-since buried the algorithm, so it's now difficult to find even if you search for it -- probably to save us all from all that disinformation and stuff:

Whether I agree with these theories or not, I always find these kinds of things fascinating. It’s just a shame that a life destined to be so much more was cut so short.

Yeah, I'm rather agnostic on the issue of whether Junior was knocked off via air travel in 1999. And that video gets a little snarkily specific in his finger-pointing near the end, which doesn't help whatever potential credibility it could have. However, there are some interesting points it brings up, including why no real search was mounted for JFK Jr.'s plane until many hours after he called in before he disappeared on radar, or after calls were made to the authorities.

Even period press conferences show reporters asking why there was such a lengthily delayed response by search teams, and the answers they get don't really make much sense.

But who knows?
