If you don't have it already I'd recommend her album Real Life - The Songs. It's basically studio versions of some of her songs. It's a nice intimate album - just Vic and a piano - and hearing them without the audience laughter puts a new spin on them.
Perfect! Thanks!

Perfect! Thanks!

Anytime, James. Hope you enjoy.

(After posting about it, I spent a little time this evening listening to it then had to pick myself up off the floor after Love Song unexpectedly had me in bits).

Uploaded today on the Thames Channel, this snippet from a 2000 Julie Walters interview is lovely:

It's only brief, but there's no shortage of warm praise for Victoria's talent, with references to characters such as Mrs Overall or Pat. It's plain to see how affectionately she views her friendship with Vic.

It seems she's there to promote Billy Elliot... still known as Dancer at that point. Which reminds me I need to nudge that film up my viewing bucket list.

Look forward to it, cant believe it is nearly 10 years ago since she died - just a few months after Bowie and Terry Wogan

Time flies - and she is sadly missed x
