but they were definitely my favorite couple growing up!
It's crazy to think how one series managed to pull off such power couples; Jock/Miss Ellie/Clayton, JR/Sue Ellen, Bobby/Pam and Ray/Donna. Poor Lucy though was left on the side-lines picking up scraps.

I'll never forgive Bobby (the writers) for allowing Bobby to so easily give up on looking for Pam in Lorimar Dallas or his rather cavalier attitude in TNT Dallas towards Pam when her character rose from the dead.

Thanks for posting Tommie's video @Mrs Bobby James Ewing . I still find it hard to think of that he's gone. I will miss him too. :(
@DallasFanForever you should read Tommie's story "The Cowboy and the lady" if you haven't already. The timeline broke at the beginning of the season after Pam's accident and he wrote a nice ending for them. It was how it should have happened. Or maybe you are not into reading fanfics?

I liked Lucy & Mitch and also Lucy & Mickey but no they weren't a power couple. But I think the reason why Dallas had so many of them is a contributing factor to why it remains my favorite show. :dance1:
I don't think Bobby and Pam was the first power couple. I think that would be Lucy & Ricky (I love Lucy) or Samanta & Darrin (Bewitched) or maybe Tony & Jeannie (IDOJ) or Charles & Caroline from (LHOTP) or what do you think?

But yes Bobby and Pam was the first power couple I shipped when I watched the show in reruns in the 1990s. :)
I think the term shipping came from X-files in the 1990s.

Oh and speaking of Tommie, I finally watched "The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean" (1972) last night. It was sort of odd in the sense that I had seen the screen caps of VP in the movie before I watched it. I was pleasantly surprised to realize that VP actually played the female lead in the movie.:)

The plot of the movie could have been better though.

This thread is in danger of falling off the first page and I won’t allow that LOL
This has probably been discussed on this thread before I’m sure but I was wondering if you had to rank ur top 5 Pam and Bobby scenes or storylines what would they be?

I think it's hard to just pick five. But if I was to rank scenes I think it would be:

1) Their reconcilation when he asks her to marry him again in Swan Song.
2) Their break up scene at Thanksgiving Square in The Letter.
3) The scene before their second wedding when he tells her that he wants to marry her despite that Jenna is pregnant in Bells Are Ringing.
4) The scene when they reconcile and he tells her their love is worth fighting for in Call Girl.
5) The scene where Pam tells him she is pregnant for the first time in Bar-B-Que.

So those would be five of my favorite scenes. Now which are yours?

1. The proposal in Swan Song
2. The scene in Deliverance when they admit they still love one another
3. The scene in The Ewing Connection when they talk about what might’ve been had they lived in their own house away from Southfork and then they kiss
4. The opening scene in Diggers Daughter as they drive to Southfork
5. Their second wedding, despite Jenna’s pregnancy almost ruining it.

You know, technically that’s 7 scenes you mentioned so since you bent the rules just a tiny little bit I’m going to flat out break them now and mention 5 more........

1. Their talk before their second wedding when Pam tells Bobby he’s not gonna lose her.
2. Their talk at Southfork after Pam returns from Hong Kong.
3. Their divorce hearing when Bobby abruptly walks out. Very sad scene, I know, but it’s still great.
4. The scene before Pam’s bridal shower when they pull over to the side of the road and talk and then recline their seats.
5. As heartbreaking as it is, when Bobby gets run down by Katherine and Pam cradles him in her arms and screams.

Last night I watched the episodes The Red File part 1 and the Red File Part 2. :)I felt bad for Bobby when Pam walked out in him at the end of The Red File Part 1 but I couldn’t blame her since Cliff had just been arrested for Julie’s murder.:( Bobby and Pam are perfect for each other and they belong together despite the Barnes Ewing feud.:)
