Morgan also had a brief cameo on Married with Children.
Larry Hagman did get a starring role in another TV series after Dallas but it was "Orleans" in 1997. I remembered being very interested in seeing it and then quite disappointed when it premiered. It wasn't the kind of show that allowed Larry Hagman to display his talent to its fullest. Orleans only lasted 8 episodes and got cancelled.

I wasn't aware that he had a career before Dallas, after that he at least had one in daytime. He did stints on four soaps: Santa Barbara, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless and One Life to Live. Has anyone watched him in any of the soaps? I only watched Santa Barbara at the time and I liked the fact that he acted differently there than on Dallas.Leigh McCloskey is pretty well known for his role in cult-classic INFERNO (1980).
Donna, of course, had a prominent co-star role for two seasons on PETROCELLI

Interesting, I didn't know that Katzman had been the producer on Petrocelli. Lots of pre-Dallas connections. Victoria and Steve worked together on a movie, and so did Patrick and Larry. There is a scene in Petrocelli where Barry Newman is sitting outside the camper and invites Susan Howard to join him. It's evening, and you can see the tree branches swaying slightly in the breeze.
Petrocelli: Come out and join us
Maggie: Us?
Petrocelli: Me and the crickets
Maggie: Hmm. Smells like a Texas night
Petrocelli: Long ways from Times Square, isn't it?
A small scene, and Leonard Katzman nails the details perfectly. The breeze, the crickets, the sound of the sliding screen door.
You feel like you are really there.
When he pulls off similar scenes in Dallas, it is amazing.
The scene with Jock and Digger is an example

I honestly don’t remember him in anything during that year he was gone. And looking at that list of blockbuster hits I guess I see why he returned to Dallas.Hotel Episode: Missing Pieces
George Burns Comedy Week Episode: Dream, Dream, Dream
Alice in Wonderland (Television film)
From Here to Maternity (Television film)
Strong Medicine (Television film)
as the savviest of Hollywood insiders used to say in those days, if an appearance on an episode of George Burns Comedy Week isn’t going to vault you into the highest echelons of big screen superstardom, then absolutely nothing will!I honestly don’t remember him in anything during that year he was gone. And looking at that list of blockbuster hits I guess I see why he returned to Dallas.
Alice in Wonderland had an all-star cast ranging from Golden Age Hollywood stars to 1985 television stars. Another primetime soap star that was part of that cast was Donna Mills.Alice in Wonderland (Television film)
This is interesting but I don’t remember ever hearing it here in the US. Personally I wouldn’t have wanted to see a Pam recast as to me there was only one Pam and these things seldom work.Has Pamela Sue Martin also been speculated as Pam recast in other countries due to her connection to Patrick Duffy in Strong Medicine?

Strong Medicine was based on a novel by Arthur Hailey and the miniseries was broadcast in first-run syndication, not on a major network. In Strong Medicine, based on the novel by Danielle Steel, Patrick Duffy and Pamela Sue Martin's characters got married.
Katzman the hackA nice surprise last night! Was watching Walker, Texas Ranger while cleaning the house.
Who would appear but our own William Smithers as the bad guy!

Then Sheree J. Wilson showed up as she was one of the stars of the series.

The music was nicely done. Who did the musical scoring?

Nicely tied together. So who was the executive producer?

Leonard Katzman!
Fun to see them all working together, especially since I tumbled into it by accident!
Petrocelli always looked interesting to me. I think a lot of episodes on it are on YouTube... may watch soon. Love Donna!Donna, of course, had a prominent co-star role for two seasons on PETROCELLI (her later dalliance with Ray was bad enough, but poor old Sam Culver must have really been out of it at his advanced age to have no idea his young bride had a full-on second husband and life!)
Several supporting-role DALLAS mainstays like Jordan Lee and Punk Anderson appeared frequently on that show, which also drew from a pool of industry luminaries such as Harrison Ford and Cousin Oliver from the Brady Bunch.
One has to think the still-powerful ex-governor of Texas finally caught wind of what was going on and had production of this promising series cancelled after a mere two years
The DALLAS casting rolodex: PETROCELLI
So we all know that many of the DALLAS guest stars were on plenty of other things prior to their appearances on the show: old things like GUNSMOKE and BONANZA, or THE BIG VALLEY. Some of them seemed to do a tour of the soaps, appearing on KNOTS LANDING, FALCON CREST, or DYNASTY and THE COLBYS...tellytalk.net
