Hi @Karin Schill

I hope you will enjoy your week in the spotlight. :)
Thus far yes!

1.) Which are your favorite tv-shows?
My most favorite right now is the blacklist. It’s all mystery and a lot of action and a roller coaster. I’ve watched it since the beginning. I also like alot of old tv shows and have a number of current shows I watch. I have a list on IMDb with 18 entries. Obviously they are all not in at the same time I’d never get caught up on anything. Current shows I like all rise, swat (the newer one), prodigal son, Star Trek discovery and Picard, the mandalorian. Of course as you well Know I am a buffy and angel fan. Buffy showed us what a slayer really is and angel showed us how to have a heart when yours does not beat.

2) What's your interests?
again had I read down further I would have tagged you in my response to @Angela Channing so I’m taking a bit of a shortcut here

3) How and when did you start to watch Buffy?
Well let’s see (flipping through my watchers notes) I saw the
Movie way back when and thought it was a goof. When I heard there was a tv show starting in 1997 I was skeptical. Simon didn’t start until 1999 when I caught a rerun over the summer. I don’t remember which episode but I started watching season 4 when it premiered and started angel as well. A year or two later syndication kicked in and I saw it from the beginning

Serious question here, I'm afraid, rlr718. How do you feel about the fact that this countdown of Kylie's 30 greatest singles does not [repeat: Does. Not.] include 'Especially for You'?

I wonder:
1) Who are some of your favourite authors and books?
2) Do you like any cartoon strips on the funny pages or elsewhere?
3) What do you like to photograph mostly? Buildings, people, animals, nature?
4) If you could decide a new forum section on tellytalk.net, what would that section be about?

Is growing up in America like how we see it in the movies e.g. baseball/cheerleaders/lawsuits/a lot of anguish over the perfect turkey and cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving Day?

I know you are a Kylie fan but have you been aware of Kylie and a fan since she started out in music in the late 1980s? Did you follow her career from then or did you come to be a fan some time later on? Also have you ever seen her live and what are your favorite songs/albums of hers?
Actually I have been aware of
Kylie from the start. I actually had the locomotion maxi single cassette in 1987. Here in the us she wasn’t as popular as other countries. I don’t recall hearing anything about her until Fever was released in 2001. From there I kept an eye on her.
I have never seen Kylie live im sure it’s quite a show! I really like Aphrodite and fever. But light years and x are 2 that I have come to really enjoy.

Isn't it a bigger crime that Je Ne Sais Pourquoi is included? At #11 (!!) How easily we're enamoured by a few French words (and yet nothing in the song rhyms with it!)
Also, interesting that the #29 and #1 are ranked as not best/best for basically the same reason.

As a fellow Days of Our Lives fan--you are magically transported into the world of Salem as a new character--which of the core families, Brady, Horton, Kiriakis, DiMera would you want to be the newest member of and why?

It is a still shot from the video for say something, yes. Right
Now say something is my favorite actually I love the bass line and the funky sound. It’s classic Kylie sound. I do really magic a lot though too. I can’t wait for the new album to drop in its entirety. I have already pre saved it in Apple Music and will likely purchase it in iTunes or something too just to show support for our girl.
I do like a lot of the songs on fever and I love Aphrodite as well
Have you ever seen Kylie perform live? Do you go to concerts? If you do, what's the best one you've been to?
For a long time I was a voracious reader which I try to get back into but my schedule has been pretty frenetic.
What type of book do you like reading? Do you have a favourite book?

Hi @rlr718 , hope you're enjoying your week. Here are some questions for you:

1. If you could have a super power, what would it be a why?
2. If you won the lottery jackpot what would be the first thing that you would buy?
3. If you had a TARDIS (time machine), which event in history would you go back to, to find out what really happened?
4. If you could live in a cartoon world, which character's world would you choose and why?

My apologies for yesterday I worked a 12 hour day yesterday and then left work and had a few stops and had to check on my mom. Once I got home I sat in my chair for about 2 hours then slipped into a soap opera coma.
Now to the questions.

Why would they be against that?

I don’t know why abc would be against people sharing their videos from YouTube. When I went to play the embedded video of Whitney’s singing the national anthem it said they don’t allow embedded sharing or something to that effect. This is what it said

Well for one I am surprised. Wasn’t this a big hit of a song? From what I’ve read I think Kylie guested on the song and it’s part of what’s his names (I can’t remember his name right now) catalog of music?

To be honest I had never heard the song until recently as I don’t think it was ever released in the US. Also his voice has something nagging about it to me. It’s not great. Because of this I have not listened to any of his other music.

Edit-i had to lookup his name. Jason Donovan.

Hi @Emelee thank you for your questions!

1) Who are some of your favourite authors and books?
One of my favorite authors is dean koontz. I have always found his novels to be fast moving and well written. It’s smooth reading. I especially like the odd Thomas series. The main character is so well developed and you can feel his feelings and thoughts.
I also like the Janet evanovich Stephanie plum series. It’s just good fun. It had a seriousness to it in the beginning but became more comedic as time went on. It can crack me up. :laugh1:

2) Do you like any cartoon strips on the funny pages or elsewhere?
I haven’t read the funny pages in years. But a few favorites of mine are Garfield, the far side, Calvin & Hobbes and peanuts. I also enjoy some of the sketches cartoons scattered throughout the New Yorker magazine.

3) What do you like to photograph mostly? Buildings, people, animals, nature?
I prefer to photograph landscapes but have also taken some photos of people and cityscapes. Really just skylines. I will gather some shots and post them.

4) If you could decide a new forum section on tellytalk.net, what would that section be about?
I will need to think on this one and get back to you. I’m not sure at the moment.

Hello @rlr718 ! It's nice of you to field questions.

Have you done any traveling either domestically in the US or abroad?

Hi @Michelle Stevens (I wonder any relation to Darren, Samantha, tabitha, and Andrew :giggle:)

I have only ever traveled to Ireland and Bermuda. Some backstory here. My grandparents decided to move to Ireland in the early 70s and lived outside of Dublin on the Dublin bay. From their house you could see the James Joyce tower. When I was a kid we visited them one summer (I believe it was the summer of 1980). My faint recollection of the trip I remember trying to swim in the bay and the water was freezing and I swallowed a bunch of water and did NOT enjoy it as it was very salty. I can also remember going to a public indoor pool and refusing to go in the water because apparently swim caps were required and I didn’t like that. I was persnickety child I guess lol
I mean really, swim caps? The nerve! LOL
The second time I went was as an adult in 2000 when my grandfather passed. It was a fast 4 day trip. At the point they were living in dun laoghaire.

My grandparents also had a house in Bermuda on grape bay. The two times I visited there was at the holidays. I have a lot of memories of the house there which was named halcyon.

Within the US I have traveled the entire eastern seaboard and south as well as Michigan, and California (San Francisco, Monterrey, and Carmel by the sea)

Hi @Willie Oleson thank you for your question.
Well where I grew up it was not so much like the movies. I imagine other parts of the country might be like that. Where I grew there were children’s sports and the popular kids in high school but I wouldn’t say there was obsession over the football or base teams. Obviously the pro teams had big fans. Staunch Yankees or Mets fans (baseball) and giants or jets fans ( American football). In my family it was a concern that the thanksgiving turkey turned out good, especially the sausage stuffing and apple and pumpkin pies.
