John Pleshette... f they could somehow bridge the gap between WKDY and other projects, there would be scope for a lot of fun.

Oh my. JP has just shown up in my feed appearing in the latest episode... with his wife Lynn (also the former Mrs David Jacobs).

Needless to say I'm going straight in.

This was definitely my favourite to date. How lovely to see them all catching up and reminiscing.

This is only the second I've wanted to watch beginning to end and this time I felt it could have run much longer. John's perspective on the series - as actor, writer and director - is truly valuable and feels very fresh. There was some really interesting ground covered, not just Knots stories - such as John suggesting killing off Sid Fairgate in the writers' room - but also talking about filming The Trial Of Lee Harvey Oswald at the actual locations. And it even got into discussion of how AI is affecting the industry.

There were a few moments where I kind of wished he'd been given even more free reign. A couple of times he was asked a question about a different topic just as I wanted to hear him continue talking about the current one.

In honor of the current podcast episode "We're Knot Done Yet" with John Pleshette and his wife Lynn, here is the SAT.1 PR picture for the whirlpool scene, the background of which is described by John during filming and which has been recalled so often by Donna Mills.

I have to admit, I really enjoy listening to John Pleshette! His contributions here are exciting, well-founded, profound, and very insightful! I've noticed this in his other interviews with him! He's less concerned with "Oh, we were all such great actors and we all loved each other so much!" – he's more concerned with conveying in-depth knowledge – that's exactly what provides the fans with the nourishment they need!

I wish that Joan hadn't interrupted him when he said that a continuation should be set in a nursing home. I had the feeling that he had more detailed ideas beyond the initial laugh line.

In my archives, I found a copy of "Soap Opera Weekly" magazine, issue dated January 29, 1991, with a cover story of Ted Shackelford and Michelle Phillips. I've scanned the cover and the accompanying article for you. It deals with the planned storyline between Gary and Anne, which was also discussed in the aforementioned podcast...

Linda Gray is on the latest one here. Lovely to see her reminisce with them all:

For some reason Donna's voice turns into Mickey mouse right at the end!

Yes. It was another I clicked into and ended up watching all the way through.

I was curious in particular to see if they'd mention the fact that Abby slept with JR. Since it was never addressed in Dallas, I thought Linda might not even know about that one. Even though it wasn't covered, I was more than happy with what we got.

Great to get some background on The Good Life. I hadn't realised it was put up against All In The Family, which explains why it didn't last long.

While I knew some of the story behind Linda wanting to direct, I haven't heard or seen her talk about it before. And in such detail as well (firing and rehiring and all). I'm sure it's one that would be of interest to Dallas fans at least as much as Knots.

This podcast is getting more and more interesting since they are visual. The last minute voice issue maybe was caused by Nicollette Sheridan...

Interesting talk they all had about AI and how Susan Summers was recreated as an AI bot by her husband to "keep her around".
Found this video on that topic:

Is that interesting? Scaring? Or amazing? Or all of that at the same time? Could it help people getting over their loss? Could it help lonely people who have noone else to talk to? Or will it seperate and isolate people from interacting with each other and make them rather interact with robots?

Welcome to the future, guys. I think these are very interesting and changing times we live in. It can be a great gift, but also quite dangerous.
But interesting, nontheless.
