That's a great cd purchases @Mel O'Drama, I hope you love this double compilation "Gold" from Olivia Newton-JOhn as much as i do, i think it's one of Olivia's best compleet compilation album that's been released.Once again I've got a little behind (so to speak). Here are some additions from the first half of '24:

I still need to get "The Singles" from ABBA as well, maybe i will find on the records and cd fair day next month.![]()
Thanks @Payton Cross. I've been after this one for quite a few years, and it took me a while to find a new copy at a reasonable price. I really like the track list, and I've always been happy with the sound quality of this series.
The big surprise for me has been how much I enjoy the re-recording of I Honestly Love You with Babyface. It's a terrific vocal, and I think it might have surpassed the original for me.
That sounds exciting. Good luck, and I hope you share your finds here.
Wow that's a great cd purchases @Marley Drama, you're really into Barry Manilow i see, i have most of his albums also on cd but those Japanese cd's looks amazing mostly they sound very great .A few recent buys featuring my most-played artist of Q4 2024 (and I'm still playing them).

(The image of the 5 Japanese CDs are my copies. The Japanese import of The Greatest Songs Of The Seventies is taken from the internet, but mine's identical... right down to the Obi).
The Foul Play soundtrack, since nobody asked, includes numerous versions of Bazza's Ready To Take A Chance Again - the film's theme - and throws in a couple of his Copacabanas to boot.
My latest CD and vinyl purchases both in the music store and at the record and CD fair.

Thanks, yes i was really stocking up some cd's and i have a couple more on order i hope they will arrive next week and those will be my final cd purchases for this year.Wow. You certainly have been busy stocking up, and there are some rare ones there, it seems.
I'm especially intrigued by Streisand's En Français, as I had no idea she'd recorded this one.
Yes, the sound is pretty good. These are budget Japanese CDs, so they're missing a lot of the niceties that often come with Japanese albums, such as lyrics booklets, but of course none of this affects the lovely mastering. And some of these albums aren't easily available on CD in the UK now, which made buying these ones an absolute must.
I've passed on this myself, already having the previous versions as well as all their other albums, but the new release does make full use of the greater playing time of a CD vs vinyl LP and the addition of classic cover and important album tracks makes them an ideal "starter" for new fans, the two Beatles compilation cd's "The Beatles - 1962-1966" (The Red album) and "The Beatles - 1967-1970" (The Blue Album).
I agree with you @Seaviewer, if you already have the previous red and blue albums of the Beatles then you don't need this release unless you want the extra tracks as well. I myself didn't have any CDs of the Beatles yet because I wanted to wait until a more complete compilation CD would be released but I do remember that I often had those blue and red albums in my hands but couldn't persuade myself to buy them until I saw that these red and blue albums were re-released with several songs that I missed on their previous releases of this compilation album. I also totally agree if you don't have any of the Beatles music in your collection yet that this is a great edition for the newer Beatles fans or for those people like me who have been waiting so long for a more complete overview of all the Beatles hits, for me the song "Twist and Shout" must be on their because it's one of my favorite Beatles songs.I've passed on this myself, already having the previous versions as well as all their other albums, but the new release does make full use of the greater playing time of a CD vs vinyl LP and the addition of classic cover and important album tracks makes them an ideal "starter" for new fans,
Okay thanks, i didn't knew it was technically a Paul McCartney song that's why it was never being released on a Micheal Jackson compilation cd until now, i always saw that song as a duet between Micheal and Paul so it would be normal to release that song on all compilations from Micheal and Paul.Say, Say. Say is technically a Paul McCartney track. I've had the reverse problem with The Girl is Mine. It's not available on any McCartney compilations AFAIK. I only have it on a Jackson set.
Great finds @Mel O'Drama, and that cd-boxset from Barry Manilow looks amazing i found it myzelf a few times in a music store but never took the time to buy it because it's indeed very pricy. Some acquisitions from late last year and early 2025:

A few of my holy grails here. The Deluxe Spider-Man 2 was a pre-order and goes perfectly with the first film's expanded edition. Alison Moyet's Voice is the expanded edition from 2015, which includes the audio of her One Blue Voice Live concert (fantastic). Tina Arena's In Deep is the Japanese edition (I already have the UK and French editions).
Barry Manilow continues to get daily plays after I explored some of his studio albums in greater depth last year, yielding some great discoveries. The Complete Collection And Then Some... takes it to another level, with many deep cuts and tracks I hadn't heard elsewhere. I've been after this for a long time, and it wasn't cheap, but it was certainly worth the investment.

Your welcom @Mel O'Drama,Thanks @Payton Cross
It's great because it's so comprehensive and there are also lots of hidden gems such as live tracks and demos and alternative takes. It had a lot of praise on a music and audio forum that I read and trust, so that encouraged me to took the plunge. I'm glad I did.
Of course, there are lots of Bazza compilations out there, so it depends what you're after.
