I heard that some viewers of Camberwick Green and tuned in to see if Windy Miller would be decapitated by the windmill sails every time he went in and out of the windmill.

About 3 minutes in, Windy, who is making a guest appearance on Chigley (as are the fire brigade from Trumpton…who this week are picking apples), dices with death repeatedly for about a minute:

You could look at this as "Get Smart : The Animated Series" - except that it's not Get Smart and it's not animated.
But it was created by Stan Burns and Mike Marmer, who wrote a lot of the early Smarts, and it does feature Bernie Kopell in full Siegfried mode as the voice of the villainous Baron.

Night Gallery (the late, great Rod Serling's other hit [Serling known of course for CBS' classic Twilight Zone from 1959-64], this on NBC from 1970-73)...

I've also ordered the comedy series Only When I laugh as it's one of the funniest shows the late Peter Bowles was in. :)

I have this one as well, having fond memories of watching it when I was young. I think it used to be on before Corrie.

It's six or seven years since I last gave it a spin, but I remember being impressed that it held up a lot better than I'd expected. I was even happy with the way it ended, which is unusual for a British sitcom of that era.
