There's something in it that reminded me of late 80s Belgian acid house and I felt it couldn't be coincidental. Long live the internet because there's a twerkulator wiki page that mentions the various sources.

I wonder how it feels to have the whole week being themed by a twerkulator song. Would you recommend it?

Without being entirely sure what you mean, I absolutely recommend it.

Dear Sancho - The Trudy

For the first minute or so, I assumed this was from the late '60s but it seems to travel forward in time as it goes along, eventually landing somewhere around the mid-90s. But it turns out to be from 2021. Speaking of the late '60s:

Thanks, that's exactly the song I needed today.
Because I accidentally missed a funeral today - where's everybody? where's the coffin? Turned out it was the wrong church.
And I was so proud of myself because I actually managed to be on time.

It's a good start for the Sparks top 10

A Happy Place - Sparks vs. Katie Melua
This is fun! I wouldn't have thought Katie "slightly boring" Melua had it in her.

Funnily enough, I finished my on-the-way-to-the-gym SOPHIE playlist this morning and so moved onto Sparks. (Must I do everything in alphabetical order? Yes, it appears I must.)

Punk Champagne by Farai (feat. TONE)

White Lies (best served with punk-punk-punk champaaaaaiiigne)

Super shiny pop!

This, on the hand, is not ... but considering it's called Dirge and it's by Bob Dylan, it could be a lot more dirge-like.

I think it's sublime, and although most Bob Dylan songs scream out for a better vocalled cover version, this one does not.
My internal music library (every song I've ever heard) automatically requires a reference whenever I hear a few familiar notes and after a long research I've managed to link Dirge to ATB's 9PM (Till I Come).

Hatcheck Girl by Eddie "the man from manhattan" Howell
If Billy Joel, Barry Manilow and Harpo off of 'Movie Star' all had a baby, it would be this song.

I humbly submit The Call (Thunderpuss Mix) by Backstreet Boys

That sounds very 2000s vintage. Almost every song came with a plethora of club remixes.
Uncannily enough I had almost submitted an obscure remix myself (Donna Summer) but Eddie's song is completely new to me (except for the popular theme of shattered Hollywood dreams).

It was a remix of Autumn Changes
I found a great one on YouTube that lasts 11 minutes 55 seconds. I wonder if that's one?
The Sparks top 10 isn't coming together yet but Rollo Jean by Gloria Marsden (or vice versa) is a nice appetizer
Very nice, especially when it goes all I Feel Love-ish.

The track on the Sparks playlist I listened to recently that leapt out at me the most is The Rhythm Thief.

That must be the Kike Yes We Can Mix,

The one I found is a little more NuDisco - and unlike the Kike remix it was released on 12" vinyl and CDr (albeit unofficial)
The Rhythm Thief
Awesome, it inspires me to finish my Sparks top 10 this weekend.

Cleopatra by Efendi
Well well, we've come a long way, James!
I remember how you described this song (probably from the nominations top 10) as "absolutely mental" (although I'm not sure if that was mental in a good way or bad way).
