I do like the new evilly hot Spooky Lashes. Your best yet, even a name change for the event.
Thank you my friend and I see that you have copied my very hot witches hat :p

If you say so dear friend. Will Enrique be one of the first to follow this trend?
Enrique will do anything I tell him :danc: .. although, I will keep him away from this new fashion trend, his head is too beautiful to mess with.

I ordered Flyleaf from the same person on Ebay who I bought Tippie from last year. She was a longtime unsold orchid, a rescue from somewhere. A double unwanted orchid so I felt I had to saver her as she had withered leaves and no blooms to show. She has shown me she wants to live.
Flyleaf - I do like this name , she's lucky you spotted her on Ebay in the nick of time.

On a 27 September visit to the grocery store I planned to buy a new orchid with blooms as my other were not blooming. I told the flower lady I intended to purchase a full price plant as I don't want her to be thinking I only use my powers of hotness to win the freedom of past bloomed orchids.
Umm, which "powers of hotness" are these of which you speak? :yoyo:

To my surprise she gave me four in decline blooming orchids. Two of which are still blooming today, besides the full priced orchid I bought, Pumpkin. It did take me day to make all five.
Heck, that store lady is very kind, but 4? c an you cope with 4 .... daft question from me, of course you can :cool1

. Any more I'll be making a trip to the hardware store for another shelf for a new plant tower.
Is the tower now completely full? I would imagine it looks wonderful having so many plants on it.

She had been in a rough way for over a year and been on a decline since after that July trip to the nursery. At least she made the trip to that amazing place. It seems after I got my latest batch of orchids she knew I had a plant family and her job was finished. I will always remember my orchid #2 as she rebloomed in the depths of the Covid lock-down over here. I'll miss my Pinkie Violet. Poor Snowy is is without her longtime mate but has thirty others to live with.
You have so many memories of those special early Orchids :hugs:

My Pumpkin had orange blooms so I thought it was fit with the season.
I do like the orange coloured blooms and yes, her name is perfect. :gotcha:

You may be Spooky and have upgraded alien gifted powers but don't think that will over-ride my supreme hotness in any way. How well is your Spooky Lashes persona ready for the pillows?
My Spookyness is ready and waiting for the hotness battle N3H ....

We’re 26 posts away now so we definitely caught up, which is good cause I want to go trick or treating on Halloween and not be worrying about if we’re gonna make our goal or not.
This made me laugh DFF! :coffeelaugh:

We’re only 25 posts away!! And we have 12 more days so we’re fine.
I love how you keep us on track. When I see numbers my eyes go all wonky :loon:

I still remember how nervous I was when I posted my very first comment, I was actually shaking, but I'm so glad I did it.
I still shake every time I post. It never went away.

Children are great to be around, they're a good distraction as they make it impossible for us to sit back and zone out
Yes, I agree with this. No matter what I’m going through I notice kids have a way of keeping me going.

we are being encouraged to order early, although I refuse to panic buy.
It’s the same here really. Everyone is being told to order early cause the shippers are going to run out of product but you know how that will go. So many will wait til the last week before Christmas.

I've not been able to buy radish from TESCO which doesn't matter, but they normally would never run out of things like this. Oh and square crisps (potato chips) I love, love square crisps and can't get hold of them anywhere ! :bang:
Uh oh!! I do hope you find them soon. I wouldn’t want to see The Enforcer have a Lash-Out.

I think the media crank up the situation for more drama
How very true!

I was reading that we might be short of turkeys this Christmas, so many people have bought them already, but I just think we won't starve and if we can't have turkey we will have best steak or something else.
Oh boy! I have to have turkey for Thanksgiving!! I know you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving over there but you know, I’ve never had turkey on Christmas. I guess over here the big turkey day is Thanksgiving so Christmas we normally don’t have it.

Currently our shops have both Halloween and Christmas stalls next to each other. I have to admit I dare not buy the Christmas chocolate currently on offer, because I know it would drive me crazy knowing that we have chocolates in the cupboard .... I have no will-power
I share this same problem. There are certain things I can’t keep in the house regularly cause I know what will happen. I will walk by the cupboards many times and I’m okay but then I start walking there a little more often then I should. Then I’ll stop in front of the cupboard and look at the knob on the door. And once I open the door it’s over. There’s no turning back then so it’s better I don’t buy certain things.

love how you keep us on track. When I see numbers my eyes go all wonky :loon:
Glad I can help! I know ur not crazy about numbers. I deal with numbers all day so I’m used to it, like when I have 150 stops and the person next to me has 75 and says okay let’s go. DFF will then kindly remind that person that’s not in their best interests and to check their calculator again.

So we’re only 14 posts away now!! DFF going and lay down now as he is seeing flying bats everywhere. Perhaps rest is needed.

Eagle Chat
Aww, just look at that cheeky face, I love Owls too.

Even thought they are a danger to the Eagles I would like to see more of the Owls. Maybe an Owl cam can be made for their home.

I would be more than happy to watch Owls :D
I as well. Owls are fascinating creatures. No recent sightings of the Owl in recent days.
I do have a special place in my heart for Liberty and Freedom , I'm so pleased that Liberty hasn't gone off with someone else :giggle:

Liberty is a loyal mate.

and a sleepy one at that.

This is fab news! these people are so good to go to all this trouble for us viewers.
Indeed! Now I hope the other cam for Guy and Lipstick is restored for next season. They had this message on their page.

Hi PA Farm Country Fans! We appreciate your patience as we continue to work with the Pennsylvania Game Commission to get this cam back up and running. We're still working on the issue at hand and we will keep you aware of updates as they come up. Thanks for baring with us on the repair and maintenance of this camera!

That nest is always lively and I hope to see this duo soon.

Lol!

Oh really???!!! Granted your time in the TT Stone Quarry has made you stronger and your Spooky persona is intimidating to others but really? Michelle is use to slapping full grown men when angered.

No lash-outs either, that would not be fair. :bubble: So is it Purses or Pillows ... or both?

Thank you my friend and I see that you have copied my very hot witches hat :p
It seems everyone has copied your "very hot" witches hat. I prefer my golden hotness crown.

Enrique will do anything I tell him :danc: .. although, I will keep him away from this new fashion trend, his head is too beautiful to mess with.
That goes for me as well. No one dare touch my golden locks.

Flyleaf - I do like this name , she's lucky you spotted her on Ebay in the nick of time.

I named her after a Rock band and it fits well with her. She is a mystery plant as I do not know her bloom colour. It may be some time before I get that answer but she is doing well. She got PV's old exterior pot and Snowy's roots are already welcoming her.

Umm, which "powers of hotness" are these of which you speak? :yoyo:
Of course I would only know of these powers at my supreme level of hotness.

Heck, that store lady is very kind, but 4? c an you cope with 4 .... daft question from me, of course you can :cool1
I was shocked but she had many past bloom orchids that would not sell. I can't say no to these plants and they are all healthy and young. My powers of hotness and good orchid vibes can overwhelm me.
Is the tower now completely full? I would imagine it looks wonderful having so many plants on it.
Yes, it's full. I was able to get all 31 on there but any others it's off to the hardware store. Only Venus is struggling which is good. I prefer not to have nay orchid deaths for as long as possible. Even Venus seems to be holder her own, no major deterioration in her condition recently.
You have so many memories of those special early Orchids :hugs:
Indeed, I tend to keep the early generation in high regard, the group before death struck in August of 2020 and the arrival of Plant Tower in November. Each plant as a story.
I do like the orange coloured blooms and yes, her name is perfect. :gotcha:
She is a beauty and I had no issue paying full price for her. I'll share photos soon.

I wish that winter would arrive here in South Florida. It’s still 85 degrees every day! Usually the first week in November it starts to cool down a little but I’m not holding my breath.
I Googled what 85F is in Celsius, it's 29.4 degrees Celsius!
Living in South Florida is a brave choice sir! Where I am was single digit Celsius, inspired me to buy deice for the windscreen of my car!

Don’t get me wrong, I do love the warm weather down here. But I can’t wait for November as it usually starts dropping to the mid 60s (Fahrenheit). We’ll stay cool for a few months but we’ll never go below 40F. The northern part of the state may go down into the high 20s F but I’ve never seen that down here. And I’m glad cause I really hate the cold. 60 to 80 F is kind of where I like it the most.

Me too DFF. I absolutely dislike being cold! Hot weather is something that I am rather fond of. Wet weather is something that I'll suck up. But cold weather is thankfully usually short lived in Hampshire. But I'm sure that I will still grumble about it!!!

This year the snow event lasted a day and a half back in January.

I’m trying to remember the last time I saw snow. I think it was March of 1996 on a trip back to New York. I do miss seeing snow. I would brave the cold one last time just to see it again.

The last time it snowed down here in South Florida was 1978. It just doesn’t get cold enough for that to happen. Who knows, maybe one day. It would definitely be a surprise.

Significant snow events in my corner of the world are, according to the Met Office, once in twenty years events. The last one was winter 2009 in 2010. Just hard going when everything is geared towards cold and wet with occasional need for deicing.

But I have to admit that the sight of a fresh blanket of snow is something special. Usually not too long lived down here.

I see. I didn’t realize this but now I see why. Ur in southeast England I just noticed. I didn’t know where Hampshire was.

I have to agree. I loved snow as a kid. We would get pulverized with it up in New York but I didn’t care. Christmas Day I’ll call my family and they’ll tell me it’s snowing and I look outside here and it’s 75 degrees and it just doesn’t feel like Christmas really. It’s great down here, don’t get me wrong, but we do kinda miss out.

In it odd, I sometimes forget that the one's on this platform that I hold in greater regard than the hoi polloi and have conjured up an impression or mental image et cetera are scattered across the world. Therefore some knowledge will not be commonly held, as with some slang terms I'm guilty of using.

I just believed that everyone would know where Hampshire is.... but why would you. My bad. Yes, SE England is where I am. Hmm, might as well say it... I'm in Basingstoke. A fairly affluent place on the whole, but there are also many social problems as ubiquitous across the UK.

I've lived here long enough to see the town grow in something to be proud of. The unwritten rule is... only Basingstoker's can bad mouth Basingstoke.
Birth place of Thomas Burberry, Liz Hurley... that's about it. Oh yeah, the tallest building between London and New York is here. The ring road is in a figure 8 kinda shape. I'll save you the rest of everything I could say after a life time living here. FYI, I don't identify as British when ask aboard. I triumphantly proclaim "I'm from Basingstoke...," Blank expressions.

I’m assuming I’m one of the ones being held in greater regard. As far as the hoi polloi go though, I do like them. They’re an important part of the site too. I know they say things sometimes just to crack me up and I like that.

I'm in Basingstoke. A fairly affluent place on the whole, but there are also many social problems as ubiquitous across the UK
It looks like a very nice place from what I see online. It’s a shame there are some issues socially but I think every place has something.

"I'm from Basingstoke...," Blank expressions.
I get that quite often as well. People will ask me where I grew up and I’ll say Palenville, New York. They go I’ve never heard of it. Is it near Manhattan? And I’ll say no it’s about 100 miles north of the city. They go oh that’s not New York then. So I’ll say well, sorry. You asked!

@DallasFanForever yes. I rather admire your willingness to share some difficult truths. The hoi polloi thing was shorthand for me kinda saying that we all play a role here, but some people here I would would be wary of judging by what they post. Goes both ways I'm sure.

B'stoke has given me a good life. The wind deposited us here and we flourished with a bumps on the journey. The townsfolk are as you would expect. A broad spectrum but most people are towards the middle. Neither saint or a***hole.

difficult truths
Probably the title of my autobiography one day

The townsfolk are as you would expect. A broad spectrum but most people are towards the middle.
I would say it’s pretty much the same here. The funny thing down here is most people are from New York so I’ve always enjoyed that part. I can’t go anywhere without running into New Yorkers where I live and that makes me happy.

we all play a role here,
I would have to agree with that. And many times I have to say I enjoy my role here more than the role I play in my personal life. Being DFF is easy. We chat, we play games, we talk about stuff, we laugh, no stress here.

But my role in life, well, that can be stressful at times. Playing uncle, delivery driver, son, brother, coworker, it’s not always easy. I wouldn’t trade any of it but I definitely prefer it here sometimes. It’s much quieter.

You sir, eloquently put in words a thought/feeling/idea that has been a fog that just wouldn't coalesce into a train of thought. If you follow the kinda logic.

Changes beyond my control have presented themselves and will never ever be reversed, meaning that I have to make good and accommodate. The new reality of my life is difficult and stressful but the greater good is most important.

Finding this platform and finally deciding to join has taken on greater significance than I ever could have imagined back in February.

Life is now more sedentary and has to be for the greater good. I have found a place here where I can balance out the worry and stress that is here to stay , by being someone else....in fashion or hiding behind the anonymity provided by Biggie.

The real world is a place that I am often misunderstood or perhaps I don't help myself by saying nothing to everyone until the hand of Jah makes me decide that a complete stranger needs to hear my.....
The nonsense I often post. Blank expression but here is a somewhat more sympathetic to my lasting benefit.

If that ramblings hyperbole makes sense!
