I wasn't specifically thinking of Biden but yes, he is another politician who has condemned violence against Trump while enabling the genocide in Gaza. It seems violence is only bad when it is directed against an elderly right-wing ex-President but is OK when it is directed against innocent Palestinians.
I would argue that the situations were different but I take your point.

I completely agree with this which is why people should also have called out Trump when he threatened, incited and apologised for political violence in the past.

Yes, that's something I've been consistent on as well. In "The US 2016 Election Thread," I called out Trump for encouraging violence against protestors at his rallies.
Trump has said and done some awful things, but I don't get how people calling for violence against him think that makes them any better.

Numerous eyewitnesses -- credible ones -- are saying they saw the shooter several minutes before the shooting, warned -- screamed at -- law enforcement, and nothing was done. There's even video of them screaming, "he's got a gun!!"

Shocking and astonishing developments over the last 24 hours. Trump truly is a unique figure, like a movie character that goes through all kinds of plots, twists and turns and somehow, always survives. He's a Dynasty character indeed! The male Alexis. Of course, after this he'll be even more than Jesus for his devoted voters while haters will hate him even more. Those in the middle might even start admiring him after this superhero display.
As for the unhinged Democrats, you don't need to look far away to find them. Just tune into The View and you'll see 3 of them on display, daily (Whoopi, Joy and the fake Republican Ana Navarro). After then you can tune into MSNBC's primetime line up and watch the other unhinged Joy plus the conspiracy theorist Meddow. This bunch makes Fox News folks look totally cool and balanced.

The deep state (a real thing, a blend of our corporate overlords and their federal operatives) has long had a habit of reining in disaffected young men (e.g., Oswald, Sirhan, Rubio) and using them, sexually or otherwise, however it chooses.
Crooke could be the latest...
School acquaintances described him as lonely, bullied, very smart -- and his high school rifle team members said he was a terrible shot.

They're now admitting that the shooter was confronted by a local law enforcement (not a fed) officer and when the gunman spun around and aimed at the cop, the cop "fell" and so the shooter was able to spin back around, aim, and hit Trump from 150 yards.

I didn't think the Trump era could get any wilder. He was already a hate-spewing convicted felon who in all likelihood will become only the second person to be elected to two non-consecutive presidential terms, and now he's survived an assassination attempt.

A lot of people predicted this would happen, and well in advance. And some of us would have been shocked if it didn't.
Some blame Trump himself, others blame the establishment. Some blame the Republicans while others blame the Democrats. Or any combination.
And some blame the kid, although the incongruities in what happened seem to point at something less cellularized. Conspiracy theories thrive in politics because there are so many conspiracies in politics.
The sociopaths run everything. So it will always be that way.

Turns out that Tim Robbins is disputing the comparison between the false-flag assassination attempt he presents in BOB ROBERTS and Saturday's attempt on Trump.
I have an old copy I haven't seen since the '90s, but it's on VHS, and my hybrid VCR/DVD-player isn't currently hooked-up.

I think this says more about the systemic rot of the US political system than it does about Trump specifically. IMO, it's a sign that the facade of the empire has finally fallen.
The Democrats have done everything possible to make Trump seem like this uniquely evil boogeyman as a means to cover up their own evil deeds. People are seeing that now. That's why Trump seems heroic after this assassination attempt. It comes off as another failed attempt to take him down. His enemies turned this billionaire into an underdog.
