I just wanted to share this with the Doctor Who fans here who are part of TellyTalk.

Enjoy, everyone.

I cried with joy and clapped when I saw this on original broadcast - it was just incredibly fabulous.

As a DJ, I play this song a lot over the course of a year and will never be able to listen to it now without thinking of this scene.

Absolutely brilliant!

Chris Chibnall redeemed himself in my eyes with the Power of the Doctor.

I actually cried when Jodies Doctor was hit by the energy beam and Yaz brought her back to the TARDIS.

I'm such a soppy sod but to be honest I was never a fan of her as the Doctor but now I actually have pangs of missing her.

I'm allowed to change my mind aren't I, she was a great Doctor.

However I can't wait for the Anniversary specials with David Tennant and then Ncuti Gatwa takes over as the Doctor.

Exciting times to be a Doctor Who fan. :)

Power of the Doctor worked as a brilliant finale for Jodie, but as a 100th BBC anniversary celebration too - seeing old Doctors and companions was absolutely wonderful. It also gave us a brand new lore as the older Doctors waited at the post, by the cliff, se ensure each Doctor was met following regeneration, it was a beautiful idea.

The episode overall contained many many joyful/tearful/celebratory/stand up and cheer moments, I much preferred it to the 50th anniversary episode, it just felt like it was meant to - a celebration of an incredible TV series that has fans all over the planet.

I too look forward to the new era and can't wait to see what's ahead.

A narrative explanation is needed because it is good writing to address a drastic change in the lead character,
arguably the most drastic change in the show's history.
As I recall, Number 11 briefly thought he was a girl because of the longer hair. Within the story it's not supposed to be remarkable.
A matter of opinion supported by facts and data
None of which have anything to do with her suitability for the role. I'll grant that the numbers indicate that a lot of people may agree with you, but it's still just opinion.

Ta. That story is being released on DVD/Blu-ray from Monday. So I might get mine today.

I got a copy of both The Power of the Doctor and Doctor Who Flux in Belfast on Wednesday 9th November in the HMV store in Belfast.

I looked at the set containing Eve of the Daleks & Legend of the Sea Devils but it was £19.99 in HMV. I ordered it online for £13.99 off eBay, which is great for getting stuff at a reduced price.

Did you get yourself a copy of Power of the Doctor yet buddy? :)
